Cruisin'Kim Posted February 2, 2017 #76 Share Posted February 2, 2017 Maybe we are different. We like to watch TV in the morning when we get up. It may play in the background as we are getting up and dressed for breakfast. We come back to the cabin to getting ready for dinner, and generally turn on the TV. Then as we go to bed, we will turn it on for a bit... Is this really different from others.... We usually turn the TV on when we're getting ready for dinner, etc. as well, but it doesn't really matter what's on, just background noise. I actually prefer it not being anything interesting, otherwise I'd be in my cabin hooked on the show or movie that was on, LOL! Rare fletch1027 Posted February 2, 2017 #78 Share Posted February 2, 2017 Just FYI, on Allure and since Yesterday, which was the 1st, we have not had any of the Turner Channels, CNN/HLN/TNT and so on. Screen says that due to our location, channel not available. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Maybe there's some equipment that went down and the channel's not available because the "at sea" location means no one can fix it... :)

Crickettmoon Posted February 17, 2018 #80 Share Posted February 17, 2018 I hope that there is at least some programming for the younger set. It's nice to have a little downtime in the room.
Rare mcatmcat Posted February 17, 2018 #81 Share Posted February 17, 2018 As long as they repeat the shows over n over on the tv I’m ok with it Sent from my iPad using Forums
payitforward Posted February 17, 2018 #82 Share Posted February 17, 2018 The only times I ever turn on the TV in my cabin are to check my account or to order room service. If I can't sleep, and feel like watching something, I'll stream something on my laptop from my Amazon Prime account.
Paulette3028 Posted February 17, 2018 #83 Share Posted February 17, 2018 Recently sailed on Navigator and the TV selections were adequate. There were things for the younger set to keep them amused. They don't offer CNN anymore (to my disappointment), but MSNBC is there along with FoxNews as well as ESPN stations. I feel that CNN's international offerings are more interesting than MSNBC -- JMO. I was happy to have an alternative station to FoxNews to find out what was happening back home.
atb Posted February 17, 2018 #84 Share Posted February 17, 2018 We watch ESPN, and the channels that have music. Current news will wait until we get home.
squadron Posted February 17, 2018 #85 Share Posted February 17, 2018 They are terrible Sent from my iPad using Forums Agreed - too many channels with the shopping "guy" etc. I miss a news channel - feel out of touch. The endless CNN loop doesn't count. Just off Liberty. They had lots of Spanish channels and cartoons - not much else. Would like several recent movies even if they keep looping. yankees111 Posted February 17, 2018 #86 Share Posted February 17, 2018 I don’t go on a cruise to watch TV. Can do that at home so whatever channels RCL wants to offer us is fine with me! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Paulette3028 Posted February 17, 2018 #87 Share Posted February 17, 2018 I don't go on a cruise to watch TV, but when I am on the treadmill in the gym watching a TV that I like makes the time go faster.
