Our cruise next year goes to both Nassau and Freeport.

We have three Bahamas stops: Freeport, Nassau & CocoCay.

Freeport has some good snorkeling and beaches but not by the pier. We like it better than Nassau.

I could not agree with you more ! It is, undoubtedly, the most unappealing port I have ever been to. I didn't realize Royal ever went to Freeport. I haven't been there since the last time I sailed on Carnival which has been more than 10 years now.

Our cruise at the end of February goes to Freeport and Coco Cay. They substituted Miami for Nassau.

We were in Freeport a few years ago. I wouldn't call it a dump. It's a working port. We didn't go far that day so I don't know what the surrounding area had to offer. We walked thru that little shop area just off the ship. Didn't find anything that we wanted there. It was clean tho, people were nice. No complaints.
