Merion_Mom Posted February 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Yes, we are in Freeport today. What a dump! :( We have three Bahamas stops: Freeport, Nassau & CocoCay.
kknorr0320 Posted February 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Freeport has some good snorkeling and beaches but not by the pier. We like it better than Nassau. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
Rare Rogueperson Posted February 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2017 *sniff* I was supposed to be on this cruise originally.
RFerrington Posted February 8, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Yes, we are in Freeport today. What a dump! :( I could not agree with you more ! It is, undoubtedly, the most unappealing port I have ever been to. I didn't realize Royal ever went to Freeport. I haven't been there since the last time I sailed on Carnival which has been more than 10 years now.
Janet524 Posted February 8, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Our cruise at the end of February goes to Freeport and Coco Cay. They substituted Miami for Nassau.
MrsP_29 Posted February 8, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 8, 2017 We were in Freeport a few years ago. I wouldn't call it a dump. It's a working port. We didn't go far that day so I don't know what the surrounding area had to offer. We walked thru that little shop area just off the ship. Didn't find anything that we wanted there. It was clean tho, people were nice. No complaints. Yes, we are in Freeport today. What a dump! :( We have three Bahamas stops: Freeport, Nassau & CocoCay.
