viggyfrommaine Posted February 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Hi there, We are taking an Alaskan cruise on the Norwegian Pearl in mid-May. Our return flight out of SEATAC is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Is this too early? Will we have to carry our own luggage off the ship in order to get to the airport in time? Also, what do you recommend for transportation from Pier 66 to SEATAC? Thank you!
CruiserBruce Posted February 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2017 If you look down the board, you will see the very commonly discussed recommendation of no flights before 11am. And the also very common recommendation of carrying off your bags and grabbing a cab or a town car.

TBird879 Posted February 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2017 I cruised Carnival from Seattle and it was the easiest/quickest customs ever, I don't think we stopped moving once.

The problem is not at the Port but at the airport. Lines can be horrible at Seatac.
Rare Roz Posted February 28, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2017 SeaTac was a madhouse last June. Several ships debarking and the lines to check bags, get boarding passes, and go thru security were horrific. The only thing that saved me was SW set up a tent outside the terminal and I was able to check my bag and get my boarding pass there. 11:30 am could work but maybe not. What is your risk tolerance and do you have a back up plan if you miss the plane? Roz
