hope you are not overrun with college kids that week.:eek: I will add one thing, I agree about the itinerary. We do not intend of even getting off the ship. I take it back: we will get off in CC; our younger daughter is meeting us there; she lives in Orlando area.

BTW: to those who conplain about the smoke in the casino: we heard the sae about the Epic. It really wasn't an issue at all. At least not for us.

If we get overrun with college kids, then no problem as we get free entertainment anywhere by just watching them. We were young once. ;p We got overrun with them on the Dawn in 2013, and there were NO LESS than 20 teams in the last night's QUEST, lol :')

I put up with the smoke in casino ... you see gambling isn't allowed in Bermuda 363 days of the year and it's my chance to gamble while on ships, so I must put up with it if I want to gamble. :D

We'll have fun, regardless.

Well we had a great time to Bermuda last September but breakaway is not my favorite ship. Layout, elevator situation and smoke from the casino are my major issues. I think the overall design leaves a lot to be desired. Bottlenecks of passengers, smoke from casino is terrible and then just flat out dead ends. Passengers turning around because they mapped out where they wanted to go and then having to turn around and find another way is not ideal. The food is excellent, one of the best from free to pay. That is my take but try it yourself and see. Everyone is different. I'm still looking at Escape out of NY. Oh that Brings me to the last issue. The terminal in Manhattan is out of control. Employees yelling at, I mean really yelling at people. They yelled at passengers, and other employees. I HATE that terminal with a passion. I have issues with passengers too, but to out and out yell at paying customers is not right. I know they don't work for NCL but they still warm l earn their salary from these passengers. I absolutely HATE that terminal.

I cruised out of that terminal 2 previous times on NCL cruises, once on a Cunard cruise and 4 times on HAL cruises and there never were any problems.

I did not observe any terminal employees yelling or being rude to passengers.

My problem was that it took an hour to find a suitcase and exiting the terminal nearly an hour before I could be picked up due to buses and taxi's.

I found our luggage fairly quick, and the rest is true. Observed terminal employees yelling at passengers and fellow employees. Gave me a horrible vibe to end the cruise. I hate that terminal with a serious passion.

Throw away the over the top glowing reviews and the over the top negative reviews and you find a medium ground.....I have been on the Breakaway twice and will be going again in 2 months. To be honest the mega ships not my fav ....but its a convenient port for me. My first trip the smoke smell while not as exaggerated for me as some implied was there.....next cruise not even noticeable. Service was fantastic for 2nd cruise......a little tired on first.....disembark nightmare on both. Both were enjoyable....ya gotta let the little things go (queue in music from that damn disney musical)...end of day..i am going again, planning on having a great time...life is not perfect but it is good :) You have to take control and make it your happy cruise.

I agree! 😀👍

I was on the Getaway last March and I had an amazing time. Great ship and the staff was wonderful. I am not sure where the negative reviews came from...

I enjoyed it so much I booked another cruise on the Escape in a few weeks. NCL ROCKS.

Well, I'm back and I posted menus on another thread. Overall, the trip was awesome. I had a few issues with dining-- but I spoke to someone and felt they were handled quickly and efficiently. Yes, there were over 1500 kids. I handled it as follows: didn't get off the ship (done these ports before); never sat by the pool (wasn't warm enough-- spent four days outside at spice, which is adults only-- mostly inside the hot tub); never went to the garden cafe-- dinners were 4 specialty and 3 Manhattan room, lunches were a mix of moderno buffet, dining room, and O'Sheans. Breakfast was savor/taste every day.

Entertainment was awesome-- burn the floor, howl at the moon, and Charlie love were highlights. Tried the new "escape the big top" which was fun.

Weather wasn't great- a lot of clouds, limited sun. Pretty rocky last two days.

I found the part of the casino near the noodle place less smoky-- that's where my let it ride table was. Spent a decent amount of time there!!

Staff was good. Helpful, friendly.

This is not a trip that I care about the ports-- I take this annual February trip to relax, have a few drinks (maybe more than a few), get some sun, and enjoy the great entertainment on board. Other than the weather, this trip met the mark.
