Free Dining Perk

Good Afternoon,

 

We are thinking of choosing the Free 3-meal Dining perk as one of our options on our next cruise. My question is, onboard, can you upgrade it to a different plan, like a 5-meal plan, and just pay the difference, or do you need to purchase another 3-meal plan in order to dine at a specialty restaurant for 5 nights?

You have to buy a minimum of the 3SDP. You can purchase before boarding for a discount.

No. You can get your free 3 SDP, then if you want additional meals you can purchase a second meal plan, minimum 3... so can do the 3SDP or a 6 or more SDP... if I wanted just 5 meals I'd use the SDP credits for the a la cartes and pay for 2 set fee places as I went.

We added the 3 meal plan so we now have 6. It only came out to about 27$ per meal. Great deal if you compare the ala cart prices.
