6rugrats Posted April 27, 2017 #51 Share Posted April 27, 2017 I have a cruise in a few weeks, booked through a TA. Got an email directly from Windstar with my edocuments attached. Nothing in the mail. If this is the new policy, I don't like it.
ridethetide Posted April 27, 2017 #52 Share Posted April 27, 2017 We used a TA for our March 25th cruise and received the nice document pouch, luggage tags and real tickets.
6rugrats Posted April 28, 2017 #53 Share Posted April 28, 2017 My TA reports Windstar says no more paper documents and blue pouches. Boo to Windstar.
sb44 Posted April 28, 2017 #54 Share Posted April 28, 2017 My TA reports Windstar says no more paper documents and blue pouches. Boo to Windstar. I will hang on to my zip pouches. It's too bad but I guess that's the way of the world. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
cooee Posted April 28, 2017 #55 Share Posted April 28, 2017 I will hang on to my zip pouches. It's too bad but I guess that's the way of the world. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk Here in the U.K., we get no paper documents or useful Windstar pouches! :( All details are via email for us to print off. It would be really good if Reception on board the ships had a supply of them to give on request! I hope someone from Windstar is keeping up with these posts! We still have our sturdy cotton Windstar bags from our first cruise on Wind Surf. A few years later, they were made of much cheaper, flimsy fabric. Still, the friendliness of the crew will not disappoint . . . . . or the lovely large staterooms on the three 'newer' ships, or the food, or the company! :):) :) :) :)
ridethetide Posted April 28, 2017 #56 Share Posted April 28, 2017 The bags are once again made of cotton with rope handles. The one I received in March was quite nice.
Doh15 Posted April 28, 2017 #57 Share Posted April 28, 2017 Hmm we were able to request hard copies of our cruise documents for a cruise in April (and had to produce them at the port which gave me a moment's worry) but I don't think we got a canvas (or cotton) bag... Redtravel Posted May 1, 2017 Author #58 Share Posted May 1, 2017 Windstar still does a good cruise. You don't need any paperwork. Just bring your passport and credit card. We got luggage tags at the dock. The on board experience is better than the precruise experience. Windstar really tries to do everything to please their guests. Strenz Posted May 1, 2017 #59 Share Posted May 1, 2017 I agree with Redtravel, WS does a delightful cruise, they make everything beautiful and easy. Impecible service, food quality, feasonable drinks, small ship small ports, , easy check in, paper vs email tickets, zippered purse, totes, that is all superfluous it is the time on their beautiful ships sail/ motor yachts that counts.
