Rare Peachypooh Posted April 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2017 It is on our itinerary and haven't been there yet but I know that it is a tender port.
FreestyleNovice Posted April 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2017 Yes to all. Tender boats will take you ashore, they moore just at the bottom of the photo above. There's the main beach with the free buffet and a new taco stand (others chime in please :) ). There are for fee excursions like waverunners, etc. and some free like a stage, vendors market. Maybe someone else has a current daily of a day at GSC.

FreestyleNovice Posted April 8, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 8, 2017 Thanks for rapid response! My pleasure, hope you will enjoy GSC! NCL also has this; https://www.ncl.com/eu/en/freestyle-cruise/great-stirrup-cay (it might redirect you to the .com site instead of the .eu version, it's somewhere under Destinations I think!) mkmaj Posted April 8, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 8, 2017 And the taco stand was very good. They do not have plates or utensils though... which I found out after I overstuffed a shell with the intention of making it into a taco salad. The buffet is a bit of a hike with a handful of taco, so if you think you'll want a fork and a plate get it first😄 Sent from my SM-N900V using Forums mobile app

Dayana Posted April 8, 2017 #11 Share Posted April 8, 2017 Make sure you make reservation for the tender upon embarkation. The lines to take a tender to the island gets very long. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Sent from my iPhone using Forums Or better yet, reserve a clamshell for $40- get priority tender and a place in the shade. Best money we spent all week! Fenouli Posted April 8, 2017 #16 Share Posted April 8, 2017 I was there about two years on the Breakaway. I strongly suggest booking a cabana! It made the time there so much better! They can be booked as a shore excursion
