We will arrive in Barcelona the night before embarkation. Does anyone have a suggestion for how to see some of the city (especially Sagrada Familia) before heading to the ship on embarkation day? We don't mind an early start and are willing to use public transportation. We will be staying at Fira Center. Thank you!

We used BarcelonaDayTours.com check if they have a tour that suits you. You might be able to share the tour with Roll Call contacts. Email them if standard tour does not fit your time slot.

They picked us up at hotel with luggage and dropped us off at the ship.

Another vote for Barcelona Day Tours. We were pleased with their service

If all you want to do is go to the Sagrada, it is easily doable on your own. You should purchase your tickets in advance and print out the voucher and redeem at their ticket office. You may choose a time. I recommend the earliest possible time so that you can depart by 1:00 or so to make it to your ship. The Sagrada is not all that far from the port But with Barcelona Day Tours, you will be able to do a half-day tour and they will hold all your luggage and then drop you at the port afterwards.

And another vote yet for Barcelona Day Tours. They will organize small group tours, and you may be able to join one that already exists. Email them to see what's available, and definitely share it on your roll call. Also, share it on the roll call of the cruise before you, Someone getting off the ship may be interested too.

Another vote for Barcelona Day Tours - we did it after the cruise- picked us up at the port - after tour dropped us all off at our hotels.

La Sagrada we did on our own- make sure you secure your tickets online ahead of time -

We've been in Barcelona several times and have enjoyed the Hop-On Hop-Off tours. We' not Gaudi fans so don't go out of our way to see his work. The HOHO drives by several of his "works" (and may even stop near one so you can get off and enjoy more that a passing glimpse). This fall we're sailing out of Barcelona for the first time and decided to stay in the Barri Gotic, near the Cathedral.. We look forward to exploring the area's "nooks and crannies." Also, it's not too far from the Aquarium, the Zoo, and the beach front.

I would suggest getting a cab and asking if he'd be willing to be your driver for the half day. This way you just say where you want to go and don't have to worry about transportation.

Make it a point to have a foodie experience in Barcelona, tapas and paella! Try to stray away from the tourist areas for the best food.
