Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted April 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2017 Ok, sorry to bore you all, as I had some posts up here regarding the cabins in the Oasis class being too warm during the night. Some people mentioned to me that having the bed by the balcony their cabins seemed to be cooler than the beds next to the closet, therefore, my question, in a balcony cabin (my bed is next to the balcony) where are the air conditioning flow vents located? Yorkvillain Posted April 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2017 It's also not rocket science to figure out by now that nobody has said "The Harmony staterooms are too warm!!!"
Robo1098 Posted April 21, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2017 I've had both and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Rare vacationlover_mn Posted April 21, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2017 So, was on Harmony in February, and had bed by door. Husband likes it cold when he sleeps, and he NEVER thought the room was "too hot". We were in a forward, deck 7 (or was it deck 9?) balcony room. Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted April 21, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted April 21, 2017 vacationlover_mn hello, we have the first forward cabin on deck 6 (just booked up three weeks ago and needed two side by side cabins and this was our only choice) how far forward were you? Do you recall where the ac vents were....your bed was at the closet area were the vents hitting the bed?
KPfromCT Posted April 21, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 21, 2017 OP, maybe think about bringing a small fan for the nightstand if you are worried the room will be too warm. I also agree, there is nothing worse than sleeping in a warm/hot room....... I just can't .........:')
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted April 21, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted April 21, 2017 KPfromCT Hello, yes, I am thinking of doing that.... I am unsure what the rules are of carrying a fan in the luggage on an airplane, I hate for my luggage to be put aside and checked and having problems finding my luggage.....many thanks! Airline does not care about a fan in your luggage, but the cruise line might.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted April 21, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted April 21, 2017 Ok so thats my answer for airline but cruise ship will...I guess I have to create a new post to see how the cruise line deals with these fans.....
Robo1098 Posted April 21, 2017 #13 Share Posted April 21, 2017 Keep in mind that when you go in and out there is a card slot by the door for your sea pass card that shuts everything off when you pull the card out to leave. I believe this includes the A/C. You can put any card in the slot though so just leave one in there.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted April 21, 2017 Author #14 Share Posted April 21, 2017 Robo1098 yes thank you, heard that from others, definitely will keep the card in the slot for sure lol big thanks!
EZBUCKS Posted April 24, 2017 #15 Share Posted April 24, 2017 I just got off Harmony and I'm pretty sure the vents are above the bed between the cabinets. It is right above the beds and the vent has a wooden varnish.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted April 24, 2017 Author #16 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Thank you so the beds closer to the bathroom have the vents?
