We'll be on the Ruby in two weeks! Did you go to Crooners at night? Wondering who the entertainer is.

Sorry...I didn't go to Crooners so I don't know who was there.

I took my mom on the Ruby 4/24-4/29 and had a fabulous time! Look for Ivy and ReaRose at Crooners and Rosie at the Encounter Lounge...you will not be disappointed! They are lovely! The ship was wonderful and the crew so friendly. Thanks so much for your review.

  • 2 months later...

I know this thread has been dormant for a few months, but I really enjoyed reading the comments and seeing the wonderful pictures of Ruby Princess. i will be taking the Pacific Coastal cruise on the Ruby Princess on 10/1 and it will be the second cruise on her. While the main purpose of the cruise is to relax, I am looking forward to the excurstions. I am going to Solvang at the Santa Barbara stop and was able to print out a map of the local wine tasting sites. There was so much said on this thread I can't comment on without a very long comment. But i will say I am so excited about cruising again (not a frequent cruiser) and cruising on the Ruby Princess. I am a solo cruiser and enjoyed the comments from others in the same situation.

Tom if still reading.. when you did the b2b and had to get off the ship to go thru customs and boarding area what time did you have to meet on the ship?

How long did you wait before you got to board again?

Thanks for answering.

Tom, I missed this thread several months ago. If you are still following your thread, did you try SHARE or the Salty Dog while you were on the Ruby?

Sorry I did not try any of those places.

We met as a group around 10 am & waited for the ship to clear. We were escorted as a group down through customs & then we could reboard the ship. A few people did not reboard the ship right away. You could have let the ship when it was cleared for people to disembark & then you would have gone through customs. We only had one hick-up & that we were missing 2 people. I met a woman later in the next cruise where she & her husband were getting a massage at the meeting time. They were the most traveled passengers with over 150 cruises & over a 1000 days.

Thank you Tom for answering. I've done b2b's

before but seems like San Pedro always took longer than other ports.

So you met at 10am. Do you remember how long

you had to wait to get off? Hour or more?

Those people should of known

what they had to do. Shame on them.

When you got downstairs how long did you have

to wait?

You should of been first ones to board. Were you?

Thanks
