Cheers: has anyone been cut off

I was reading somewhere else about a person saying they were cut off for the remainder of the cruise for no reason. Anyone experience problems?

I personally have not... but I was with someone who was.

It was not for CHEERs however. We went to port in Isle Roatan and she might have drank a little.... ok ALOT to much... She had to be brought back on the ship in a wheel chair, directly into the medical bay, and had 3 bags of iv put into her. She was fine in the long run, but they cut her off for drinking the rest of the cruise.

They told us, as the adults that brought her in, and she actually confirmed two days later when she went to get a mimosa in the morning that she was cut off.

I have not had it happen to me, but sitting beside someone last time at the casino bar who did. He had hit his maximum limit and he was arguing that he should be able to buy more. It was not going well. If you read the fine print, they can stop serving you whenever they feel that you have had too much. He didn't appear drunk to me, but he had hit his limit of 15 alcoholic drinks.

I don't think the OP was talking about the daily 15 limit. They said the person was cut off for the remainder of the cruise for no reason.

I went on a cruise and a member of our group was cut off for being an obnoxious drunk - after the girl doing some arguing and not having any luck getting her drink back on - so the guy who booked and paid for the entire group went to talk to someone and as soon as they looked at his account they immediately gave her privileges back - he is like a platinum many times over not to mention all the people he pays for when he goes cruising - So I guess it pays to be a top dog in the cruising world LOL

We hit our 15th drink on the Monday of or last cruise. It was about midnight though, and we were pretty ready to call it a night. We had ordered a round at the Piano Bar and when the waitress dropped off the drink she let us know that it was 15...everyone cheered and we all had a good laugh.

I didn't try to order anything else, but I assume we were cut off at that point.

Me and my dad were at the casino one night, and I hit 15 beers and they cut me off. But not my dad, but he was tipping very generously. So if you want more than 15 then you better tip well!

I will be taking my first cruise in July. It's a girls trip :) we are going to purchase the cheers package and maybe I am confused but I was under the impression that the 15 limit included everything ... specialty coffee, bottle water, etc. So it would be possible to get to your 15 limit without being drunk. hmmmm

15 alcoholic drinks. Everything else is unlimited and does not count towards the limit.

There is only a limit of 15 on alcoholic drinks. All other drinks that are included are unlimited! :)

The 15 drink limit is only on the alcohol portion of the package. Soda and such is unlimited (based on bathroom availability).
