Thanks! I have been severely slacking today as my back once again likes to remind who's boss. This is two trips in a row it has acted up on me.

I am sorry but until it hopefully loosens up my activities will be limited thus not a very exciting report to share. Hopefully tomorrow, we can get off to tour the dockyard area.

Today has been hanging in the cabin watching several movies.

Sorry once again.

Looks like we have a conflct with the Latitude Party and our reserved dinner and show!!! Anything exciting happen at the party other than the usual? Looks like we are missing this one:(! Can't be in 2 places at the same time!!!!!

Great review. Thanks for answering my questions. Hope your back gets better. Had a similar problem last month for almost a week. My cabinmate as well, only she had to go for about 4 physical therapy treatments before feeling better.

We sail on Sunday. Hoping for a smooth sailing since our weather once again has been just awful in NYC. :D

Totally enjoying your reports. I am looking at the BreakAway for a cruise in Feb. We have not tried Norwegian yet but it looks great as we don't like to dress up a lot for dinner and like to go anytime. Thank you for posting the menus from the dining room....food looks wonderful. I just might go and book something now. Take care of that back!!!!

Just popping back in to say thank you again for the well wishes on my back. While it has loosened up thanks to some muscle relaxers, we still took it easy this last day also so I could be sure to drive home with no issues. Yes physical therapy will be on order as well.

But I also wanted to give another update as to our cabin and a potential warning as the old saying goes the ends and higher up portions of ships feel the most motion, I want to emphasize how much you feel and hear in a storm in this forward location as an fyi. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, we really like the extra room and layout of these cabins, even given the smallish balconies they contain. However, I also mentioned they can be a bit rough in larger seas as we sailed through a noreaster several years back in this cabin but lower on deck 9.

Well since Friday night, all day Saturday and especially now at 1:30 am Sunday morning we have been sailing into moderate and mounting seas that have so far tonight hit 17.4 feet according to the navigation channel and in this cabin you FEEL EVERY WAVE.

It is like a nasa g force training simulator as you feel the weightlessness of negative g's going over every wave and the pressure of added g's pushing you into the floor and bed at the bottom. There is a rumble, like driving over rumble strips at high speed and so much side shimmy that we have had to take all the hangers out of the closet since all our clothes are packed. There also tends to be internal structure rattling from deeper in the ship that you hear up through the structure way more than in other areas of the ship where we have had cabins.

Just a bit of a warning if you are at all affected by motion of the ocean these forward cabins even on lower floors are not recommended. They are fine in normal seas but in building seas they can be a challenge to move around in or to get a restful sleep sometimes.

I am not trying to discourage anyone away from these cabin just want to provide a bit of warning as the saying holds, middle and lower for the least motion of the ocean.

Thank you again and I am sorry this live thread failed to live up to its live title. Hope to be back on the seas again sometime this year and complete another full live report.

Welcome home to you and Mrs SeaDow!

Thanks again for the wonderful posting - I hope that your back gets some TLC in the next few weeks, and start getting ready for your next cruise.

You've made a ton of people happy, invented the phrase "Block Butt", and took home a Bob Ross-esqe masterpiece as well as as haul from the casino! Success all around. Have a great Mother's Day, and let the countdown to you next cruise begin!

Amy

We're still waiting to board. Passengers are still disembarking. Sigh

Yes we were delayed disembarking this morning as the current was to strong to allow us to turn in safely. I guess we were delayed by 40 mins or so.

Hope you have a blast this week!

Just arrived home, now the not so far part, unpacking, wash, grocery shopping, cooking our own meals. :(

I was on this cruise also in the Haven. It seems we crossed paths many times without knowing it- as this picture of Horeshoe Bay has my daughter in the foreground turning to speak to me. I must be right next to you! Meanwhile my daughter is quiet and sweet unfortunately she looks like a real loudmouth in the moment you snapped the picture her mouth looks like she is yelling and since I am losing my hearing that may also be the case! Unfortunately she is not flattered by the shot

A few bumps and scrapes later we made it

Soon after we decided to head back as it was getting crowded but by no means oppressive
