Rare Tapi Posted May 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2017 We stayed at the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Marina. Make sure that your room faces south Sent from my iPhone using Forums
obsessedsc Posted May 15, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted May 15, 2017 looking for somewhere that also has a pool bar and grill type area so that once we are at the hotel we don't have to leave that day! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Tapi Posted May 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2017 The Hilton has a pool bar and grill too [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Clarea Posted May 15, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Would like to be able to watch Harmony dock in the morning of our cruise! Hyatt Pier 66 also has a good view of the port.
pharaoh Posted May 15, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 15, 2017 A little further out, but you can see the ships come in from the Margaritaville resort, which is my favorite. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Baowen Posted May 15, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Get an Intercoastal room at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. The view is amazing and the Pool bar/grill is such a fun place to hang out!
micmacmissy Posted May 15, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Tower room at Hyatt Pier 66 would be ideal. They also have a really nice pool area, and you can walk to Pelican Landing for dinner, which is on the water. You can play "If I could afford a yacht, which one would I pick?" while you eat! Baron Barracuda Posted May 15, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 15, 2017 We really enjoy the Embassy Suites. Includes great complimentary breakfast plus free drinks at nightly manager's reception. Higher floors have clear view of Port Everglades. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.
70SS350 Posted May 15, 2017 #10 Share Posted May 15, 2017 Hilton Marina as was already said ask for a south facing room, but make sure you are at least 5th floor or higher. As the bridge will be in your way on lower floors. By the way the Pool Bar is expensive.
getaway101 Posted May 17, 2017 #11 Share Posted May 17, 2017 Love the Renaissance Cruise Port Hotel on 17th St. And Walgreens is just a hop, skip and jump if you need any last minute things. Plus Bimini Boat Yard is across the parking lot.
Rare Captain Funtime Posted May 17, 2017 #12 Share Posted May 17, 2017 No longer Bimini Boat Yard. Now it is just Boatyard. We stayed at the Renaissance ($$$$$). Love the Boatyard [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
IndyColts84 Posted May 17, 2017 #13 Share Posted May 17, 2017 Another vote for Hyatt Pier 66. Also a second vote for Pelican Landing, good food and great intracoastal views!
Esmerelda Posted May 17, 2017 #14 Share Posted May 17, 2017 Hilton Marina to have a straight shot of the ships. We have watched them dock early in the mornings before we have boarded. It's beautiful. The hotel is very nice. I am Hilton Silver and this is one of my top choices when in Fort Lauderdale. My other favs you can't see the ships from. breezy270 Posted May 17, 2017 #15 Share Posted May 17, 2017 Agreed! We stayed there before out last cruise. Book a high tower room and then ask to be on the port side when you arrive. We were able to see all the ships at Port Everglades from our room. Also, they have several restaurants and a great big pool area. It was a very nice stay and the room was very clean..We took the red eye and arrived about 7am to the Hyatt and they were able to get us into our room right away. We ate at Pelicans Landing and it was very good. It is right on the water with great views of all the yachts. It is on the second level of the building so you have a great view. I would recommend staying there. In fact we are staying again in September for our Allure cruise. Hyatt Pier 66 also has a good view of the port. Luke Dawg Posted May 17, 2017 #16 Share Posted May 17, 2017 Hyatt 66 or Hilton have best views. They each face the cruise port, Hilton on one side of the Intracoastal and Hyatt on the other side. If staying at Hyatt request high tower room. There are garden rooms, no cruise port view, need updating, but you are steps from yachts parked outside your balcony
sergeant655 Posted May 18, 2017 #17 Share Posted May 18, 2017 For the Hyatt and Hilton ask for the highest floor possible also with the Hilton it is directly in line with pier 18 and pier 2. If there is a princess ship in it may block the view of 18 . The Hyatt does not have that issue
JonRegister Posted May 18, 2017 #18 Share Posted May 18, 2017 Do any of the listed hotels do parking for the week too? I hate hotel websites and the "functionality" of them. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Vic The Parrot Posted May 21, 2017 #20 Share Posted May 21, 2017 Also, the rooms at Hilton Marina have decent sized balconies where one can sit and enjoy the views. Some hotels only have step-out balconies (Bahia Mar, IE). A thing to consider when shopping for a hotel in FLL.
Rare bluejay555 Posted May 29, 2017 #21 Share Posted May 29, 2017 I am so glad I found this thread! Thanks for all the great info everyone!! I just booked the Hyatt Pier 66 Tower Room and am so excited!
