Good pre-cruise Ft Lauderdale Hotels

Looking for a pre-cruise FLL hotel that offers something to do other than actually just sit IN the hotel. Nearby eats, maybe a place to get a drink, that kind of thing. Thanks in advance!

Although the brand isn't our favorite, the Embassy Suites on 17th is a great location with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. There's a great Italian restaurant named Bravo nearby. They also offer a ride to the port for a minimal fee. Enjoy your trip!

Ditto,

Free breakfast.

Evening manager free cocktails

Beautiful pool

Walking distance to shops and restaurant

You can pay for their shuttle to port or just use a cab.

Older place but most of rooms have been upgraded.

Enjoy

Extended Stay America on 17th Street. Very close to many stores, restaurants, and the bridge from which you can see the ships in port. Free shuttle from airport, inexpensive shuttle to the port, very pleasant room and staff.

Hyatt Place 17th street is our favorite. It's next door to the Embassy Suites. Shopping area next door and short uber ride to other Ft. Lauderdale sites. Book thru value trips for the best rate.

We Stayed at the Hyatt Place 17th Street. Really close to port not far from Outback Steakhouse, a short walk to publix and other shops, and free continental breakfast. Shuttle from Airport was like $2 a person. Nice big rooms with sitting area.

When are you there? I'd much prefer staying on the beach where we stroll and stop at the marina restaurants as well as take in the beach bars.

17th St. is a busy street with yes, stores and restaurants. But it doesn't scream Fort Lauderdale to us. Just depends on when you are there, your budget and what keeps you happy. If you do choose anything on 17th St., plan on taking the trolley to the beach road and maybe pick up the water taxi to see the area. Lots of stops to catch that happy hour and dinner.;p
