We are looking for a reliable, reasonable car service from Heathrow to our pre cruise hotel in London. We are 4 passengers going on the Caribbean Princess in September and already have transfers to Southampton.

The far better place for your research would be the British Isles board. I would also consider the Tube, if your hotel is near a station. Worked for us last year.

We used a very reliable car service from London called Smiths. http://www.smithsforairports.com

 

Smiths provided excellent service and was always prompt for pick-ups both times we used them.

Smiths is certainly reliable. Reasonable has to be in accordance with your definition of the term. Because the Picadilly underground line gets you into London very cheaply and quite quickly, it has car services beat when it comes to reasonable.

Just Airports. We've used them about 3 times. Heathrow Express is also an option depending on where you're going in London. It's a big place!

Another vote for Smiths. It costs more than public transportation but the convenience and personal stress-free service is well worth it. We paid less than $100 for 2 of us (that was to Southampton), had a driver waiting for us at baggage claim, door to door service in a very nice private car. Plus, with the state of the world at this point we prefer to avoid as much public transportation/crowd exposure as is reasonably possible.

Google "Heathrow Express" It is a train, direct from Heathrow to Paddington Station, and much faster than any car service, as it does not have to deal with traffic.

Would have been my first recommendation too. But the OP is looking for "reasonable". Unless they are willing to pre-pay for non-refundable/non-changeable tickets they are looking at a cost of GBP22 advance/GBP27 day of travel. Times four. Plus the taxi from Paddington station to their hotel. A private car service would only run about half that total.

 

Though I would think that through their pre-cruise planning the OP would know by now not to use "reasonable" and :"London" in the same sentence. :rolleyes:
