We've been on 3 Uniworld cruises and there are two nights - captain's dinner (usually the second night if I remember correctly) and the farewell dinner - where the dress is 'dressier' but definitely not elegant. Women wear nice slacks/skirts with nice blouses or sundresses and men wear slacks and sometimes a jacket but just a dress shirt (no need for a tie) is also fine (my DH tends to wearing a sports coat without a tie, my DB, who travels with us, prefers just a dress shirt and no tie. The other nights are more business casual (no shorts). You are in for a treat - the service, food, excursions, etc. are first rate! I've been on Uniworld as well and typically I wear either a sundress or maxi dress. For the 2 more formal nights I added sparkly jewelry and wore a slightly fancier maxi dress. Some ladies wore sparkly tops with black pants.
