Is this change just for the Glory? I have sailed on her 3 times & I was going to book the Glory for our cruise next year....till they made the change.....well I booked with another cruise line......not in the Carnival Corp. fleet.

On embarkation day, the aft pool was open to all. The Lido pool was not filled (unknown why) so the kids were allowed in the aft pool. The remainder of the week the aft pool and hot tubs were adults only....and it was more jammed than the lido pool! We had kids on this trip and so spent our sea days around the mid ship pool. I was surprised when I went to the aft pool for Seafood shack for lunch to see how busy it was in the pool.

The Serenity hot tubs are also adults only of course.

Best meal in the dining room? Gosh, that's a hard one. They were all good, some "pieces" were better than others. Here is a list of foods that I found really, really good:

Mussels (app in dining room)

Pot de Crem (Dessert in dining room)

Flat iron Steak (everyone had it at least once and everyone loved it - dining room)

Breakfast Burrito (Blue Iguana - Breakfast)

Seafood Shack clam strips & FRENCH FRIES - (additional pay but the FF are awesome!)

Jerk Pork loin (main - dining room)

Braised Beef (main - dining room)

We really liked most everything we ate. Lobster was great as well, and most of us had two!

Best meal on any Carnival ship that has one is found in the Steakhouse.

I have to say that possibly the best meal is the Steakhouse, but not worth the money. I was on the ship from 06/17-06/24. My family and I dined in the Steakhouse on Wed the 21st. Service was excellent. Food was no better than something you get at Outback. In my opinion, not worth the money. I am a picky eater, but I found the steak (Filet) to be average and the potato was luke warm. It didn't even melt the butter. I will not pay the extra fee on my next cruise.

Overall the food was good. Not fantastic. The family had seafood shack fare and raved about it. I don't eat seafood. The Guys Burgers were great as always. Cantina tacos were also great. Lido buffet pretty good but, Carnival need to teach these cooks how to cook bacon.

Hi! We are traveling on the Glory this Thanksgiving and I was disappointed when I realized there was no Red Frog Pub. RFB has always been my family's favorite place to hang. The kids play foosball and shuffleboard with us, while we can enjoy a drink (or two). Is there anyplace like that on the ship, where we can play family games (inside) and have a bar near by?

Not really like the Red Frog Pub, but the Lobby had bags games, some other games and such. There are also some bags and outdoor games on the upper deck. Not sure how old your kids are, but our kids went into the 9-14 yr old club and the teen club which are right on the promenade deck and played in there while we went to Alchemy and listened to the music at the Casino stage, etc. All in all the adults mostly just hung out together and the kids kind of came and went off exploring on their own. They did a TON of activities, though. They were definiteley never bored.

We'll be aboard the Glory next June. Did you use the Hub app (specifically the chat feature) and/or an internet plan (specifically the Social plan)? If you didn't, I'll ask anyway just in case someone else who's been on the Glory recently is able to answer. I'm looking for some recent experiences with a) The Hub app chat feature. Did it work well, was it reliable? People seem to have different experiences with it depending on the ship. And b) Does iMessage on iPhones still work with the Social plan? It worked last year, but now their FAQ's say it does not. I've gotten conflicting accounts from others, but I don't think I've heard anything specifically from Glory passenger.

It'll only be our second cruise and we're taking members of my wife's family for their first one, so we're excited to share the experience with them. We were aboard the Glory's sister ship, Conquest, last year so we'll be nice & familiar with the layout already. I was happy to see it got a refresh in dry dock earlier this year and the addition of WaterWorks. I'm just sorry we couldn't sail on her sooner because a lot of that freshness will be kind of worn by the time we get there. ;p But that's ok, it's still going to be a great time.

Hi. We have just booked the Glory for 7th Oct, same itinerary as you. Any tips for what to do with a 5 year old, on board and ashore? We are from Scotland and are looking forward to some sun!

We did download the Hub App, but didn't use it much. None of us really carried our phones with us. We didn't want the kids on the phones, so they had them for photos, but didn't really use the app. We were all near each other on the same deck so if we needed to connect, we just called on the cabin phones or walk to each other's cabins. When out and about, we all just kind of "met up" at certain times, or for certain events.

I did purchase the "social" internet package for $35 (?) but it didn't connect and after two days of trying I asked for a refund...which they quickly gave me back.

Grand Cayman is an easy beach day! A 5 yr old might like either a trip to the Turtle Farm and then a beach day, or maybe look into the Jolly Rodger Pirate ship excursion. That's a blast for kids and adults alike! They don't go every day though.

Roatan, the beach is right there at the pier so it's a great day for just lounging/swimming at the beach.

Belize - You'll need to do an excursion here if you want to do anything. Check out the ship's excursions to the beach. They will pick you up right at the ship, rather than having to tender in for 30 minutes, then back out to a caye for a beach (no beaches nearby on the mainland).

Cozumel, the options are endless, as this island is made for tourism. Tons of activities on land and in the water. Many go to all-inclusive beach clubs, some hire drivers for the day. We've done it all and really like going into town as well.

Mr. Sancho's beach Cozumel looks like a great place for children. I have read good reviews.

This will be our first carnival cruise so I am wondering what kinds of activities to expect. We are taking two 17 yr olds but they like to hang with us
Oh boy, too many to list. Someone might come along who can post a scanned copy of one of their FunTimes. That's the daily "newspaper" you get that lists everything that's happening on board that day.

A good place to start is here: https://www.carnival.com/onboard/view-all-onboard-activities

Then along the left side of the page, choose the ship you'll be on to show you all of the activities available on that ship. Note that some activities are included in the price of the cruise and others require an additional fee. You can also sort the results to list one or the other. Have fun!

We are sailing The Glory at the end of this month! I know it may change, but can you tell me what days the elegant dinners were on?

Monday Night and Thursday night, if I'm not mistaken. I don't remember 100% but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Sunday and I know the second one was on Thursday night.

Our teens with us did a lot with the adults (Trivia, karaoke, Comedy Club, etc.). They also enjoyed the sports court, the Movies under the stars (in the pools and hot tubs some nights), the deck parties and evening lobby parties. We spent all of our day in port on those particular days, and the few sea days we had, we just enjoyed the pool games, dancing, swimming, etc. Between getting all you can eat ice-cream and pizza, playing some arcade games and hanging with the adults there was never a bored moment to be had. Anything that was going on that looked like fun....we participated in some way, shape or form!

Did you try the BBQ place located above the Lido buffet area? Any thoughts or opinions?

On the June 1 Glory cruise, the Captain and the Hotel Director explained why they reversed the aft pool and hot tubs policy at the Diamond Captain's party . It's now back to adults only.

Great when a company tries something and when it doesn't work, it can go back to the way it was. When the change is for the better, wonderful, when it's not, go back to what was working. Adult only hot tubs make perfect sense.

I am so glad to hear this, will be there in september and we chose this ship in part because of the adult only pool area.
