Rare Copper10-8 Posted June 29, 2017 #26 Share Posted June 29, 2017 (edited) Pretty cool system they have there in Juneau after the rebuilt of AS and CT docks; rollers with a motor to haul those heavy mooring lines up to the bollards. All there's left to do for the linesmen is to place the noose over the bollard; no forklift, no pickup truck and not much manual labor; cool design! The Greeks have one of their aft mooring lines stuck under the fender. Capt/Staff Capt won't be happy campers. Happily@Sea Posted June 29, 2017 #29 Share Posted June 29, 2017 If we had had Capt Albert's blog posted on the day it took place, we would have known they were coming in extra early today in Juneau. They were shooting for 7 am and she was docked before 6:30. I guess they made their goal.
