I just got off the Pacific Dawn. Before we went I read some very negative reviews. After cruising I now find some of them rather funny. What is the funniest or most outrageous complaint you have heard or read?

I heard one person complaining that the stairs only went up from the plaza level in the atrium.

I suggested they can be used in both directions.

Yes, some are funny, some are just sad.;p

You really have to admire the staff at guest services. They certainly get some really "interesting" complaints but always manage to remain professional and polite.

Agreed - I could never do that job. My boss once counselled me on my response on an annoying matter to a colleague. He said sarcasm never fixes anything!

 

I think knowing of the loonies & nasties treatment of Guest Service staff just makes me be that little bit nicer when I am talking with them. Maybe just a coincidence but I always have a pleasant experience & a good outcome.

Likewise, and using that technique also gets me a better outcome as well.
