Thebowlady Posted July 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2017 Hi... what is the earliest you can get on the Anthem out of NJ and does Chops have a dress code? Plan on husband wearing shirt and tie but not a jacket
Clarea Posted July 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2017 Dress suggestions are not enforced, wear whatever you like.

cb at sea Posted July 14, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2017 Hubby will be fine in Chops with what you said he'd wear.
lenquixote66 Posted July 14, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2017 On a recent cruise I wore a knit shirt and slacks which was fine . There were, however many men wearing suits.
Lordnlkon Posted July 14, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 14, 2017 I typically wear dress jeans, dress shoes and a nice button down shirt. As bob said dress code is not enforced, wear what he feels comfortable in.
Merion_Mom Posted July 14, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2017 Suits? Or jackets with a shirt and tie? Suits are becoming as rare a sight on cruise ships as hens' teeth.

MrYellowDuck Posted July 14, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 14, 2017 He may feel over dressed with a tie on. I wear blue jeans, a collared polo shirt, and sports shoes to every meal. I have never felt under dressed. Ten years' ago I took a suit with me but even back then it was apparent I was in the minority. RCL is also at the cheaper end of the spectrum and the diversity that comes with this includes that many people don't own a tie, let alone a suit and while they could rent one they just don't want to. If you're wearing something that would get you into a mid-priced restaurant back home then you're dressed fine for RCL.
readytolose Posted July 14, 2017 #10 Share Posted July 14, 2017 Nice pants and a polo would be acceptable. Tie is great but not a necessity. Have him wear whatever he feels most comfortable in.
138east Posted July 14, 2017 #11 Share Posted July 14, 2017 Anthem usually arrives early and boards early. If you arrive between 10:00-10:30, you will miss the traffic backup to drop off and/or park. By the time you get through security and check in with the folks with the iPads, chances are that boarding will have started.
Schnookster Posted July 14, 2017 #12 Share Posted July 14, 2017 IMO, one can never be overdressed, but certainly can look underdressed. My husband and I enjoy the opportunity to dress up once in a while and always dress nicely for dinner. My husband doesn't wear a full suit, but definitely a jacket and tie for the MDR and upscale restaurants.
