septrack Posted July 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2017 DW is a former smoker and hates smelling smoke from ships Casinos. Just noticed the Corals IC is just out side Casino door. My elderly parents will be accompanying us and love the IC. Can you smell Casino smoke from the sitting areas for the IC, Thanks for your comments in advance.

sunsetbeachgal Posted July 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2017 I don't remember smelling it, however I frequent the IC in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon for a beverage. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
septrack Posted July 23, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted July 23, 2017 Looks like Explorere's lounge is right next to the IC, I guess you could take your coffee and food in there if the smoke kicked up. Also I see a Le Patesserie on deck 5. That sounds like coffee and pastrys. Am I correct?
floridalover5623 Posted July 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2017 I never really thought it was that bad what I don't understand is why they didn't have a partition between the Casino & eating area of the IC. Even a Plexiglas wall would have given an open appearance & stopped any smoke.
joeyancho Posted July 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2017 I don't remember smelling it in the international cafe but then again I don't pay attention to such things
Homosassa Posted July 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2017 Yes, it reeks of smoke whenever the casino is open.
golfb4cruzing Posted July 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 23, 2017 On the Coral, they are side by side with no wall between. It's an extremely small Casino but smoke will roll out and into the IC. During the day it's okay. At night, depending on crowd mix, it would be like sitting next to a smoker..
Colo Cruiser Posted July 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 23, 2017 Yes the smoke is prevalent.

pablo222 Posted July 23, 2017 #11 Share Posted July 23, 2017 DW is a former smoker and hates smelling smoke from ships Casinos. Just noticed the Corals IC is just out side Casino door. The IC is not outside any door. It is a continuous area ... Casion - IC. When I was on coral, I only went to the IC in the morning, so there was no problem. Otherwise, I don't know how you could not smell smoke.
Momma Mojito Posted July 23, 2017 #12 Share Posted July 23, 2017 This is coming from a former smoker(22years smoke free) and I too hate to smell smoke. The IC is one of our favorites for an afternoon break and yes you can smell the smoke.
Colo Cruiser Posted July 23, 2017 #13 Share Posted July 23, 2017 Smokers used the casino throughout the day regardless of whether ot was open or not. Smoke was prevalent in the IC when they did.
Eagle_and_hawk Posted July 24, 2017 #14 Share Posted July 24, 2017 There is a partial wall between the IC & casino, and not one large, open area. C35 by Cool Runnings, on Flickr It does not completely separate the two areas and some of the slot machines are only 10-12 feet away from these tables closest to the serving area, as you can them back there: C36 by Cool Runnings, on Flickr If you have smokers sitting in this area, or at the poker table behind that wall, the smoke may drift over in to the IC. Even further away, there is a good chance if there are a lot of smokers, you will smell it. I have gotten a whif of the smoke in the IC, but never seen smoke itself, rolling around the wall. We usually only go in the mornings too, for coffee, so at night, it may get a lot worse as the casino fills up.
Rare Lady Arwen Posted July 24, 2017 #15 Share Posted July 24, 2017 Yes, you can smell smoke. I also hate the smell and it does impact my enjoyment of certain areas. We usually sail with Celebrity because of their strict and always enforced smoking policy. Smoke free casino is the way to go, Princess!

Rare Lady Arwen Posted July 24, 2017 #17 Share Posted July 24, 2017 Most people can always wish for them to change but profits probably dictate otherwise.Celebrity has been smoke free in the casinos for years and their ships are always full and the casino is always very busy. Most people do not smoke, so I doubt if it would impact Princess at all.

Oh, I do agree with that but I'm not a smoker & have a biased opinion.
