cpshaye Posted August 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2017 I've noticed in the past couple of weeks lots of problems with their website. It is usually when I am looking at the excursions, it has just text and no pictures, I can't click on a specific port, and if I try to hit the page 2 at the bottom, it gives me an error. I've also noticed when I try to do a search, it gives me a forbidden 404 (or some number) error when I click on the one I want to read. It happens while doing other things, too, but those are the main ones (maybe because those are what I frequent most?) Anyone else having difficulties? nicole9s Posted August 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2017 Yes, same thing, primarily through Chrome. I have somewhat better luck using Internet Explorer. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
cpshaye Posted August 19, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted August 19, 2017 I'll try that. I use Chrome, also. Thanks.
Ziggy7 Posted August 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2017 I'll try that. I use Chrome, also. Thanks.Yes, most of the time chrome works but there are days when it does that, I find emptying my cache helps, other times I use use FireFox or IE :)
joepeka Posted August 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2017 Just to pile on a bit: I too experience off and on problems using Chrome with Carnival's web site (same sort of issues others above have stated). IE always seems to work fine however.
spartn91 Posted August 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2017 I just cleared by browsing history and cookies in Chrome. The website is now working for me.
evandbob Posted August 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 19, 2017 Seems like most cruise lines web sites have problems. There are major complaints in the Celebrity and MSC boards all the time. NCL and RCCL get their share of complaints as well. Any software engineers willing to demonstrate accurate and functional software to the cruise lines should be able to make a killing. schazzy Posted August 19, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 19, 2017 Like others said, it has problems with Chrome, it works fine with Firefox.

Bruner1 Posted August 19, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 19, 2017 I have been experiencing the same type problems with MS Edge, so the problems are not limited to Chrome.
cpshaye Posted August 19, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted August 19, 2017 I'm glad it's not just me. At one point I could only see our next cruise, and not the other 4 bookings! It said that I may not be able to view bookings done from international sites.... I'm pretty sure Ohio hasn't moved across the Atlantic.... :o
DisneyDatknee Posted August 20, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 20, 2017 Use any cruise line site in Incognito Mode or Private Mode. You won't have any issues using it that way :).
Ziggy7 Posted August 20, 2017 #13 Share Posted August 20, 2017 Use any cruise line site in Incognito Mode or Private Mode. You won't have any issues using it that way :). Thanks but that doesn't help if your trying to book shore excursions and such :)
DisneyDatknee Posted August 20, 2017 #14 Share Posted August 20, 2017 Thanks but that doesn't help if your trying to book shore excursions and such :) I don't see how Private Mode affects that ability. You just login in with your booking number or VIFP.. :)
joepeka Posted August 20, 2017 #15 Share Posted August 20, 2017 Thanks but that doesn't help if your trying to book shore excursions and such :) I don't believe private/incognito browser mode prevents you from doing your normal business on a visited web site - it just prevents the tracking of your browsing history and the storing of certain cookies. You can still login to Carnival's web site and do all the normal stuff.
