Screwed by Norwegian Again

Ambassador Latitudes require more than 700 points.

That's:

700 nights in whatever cabin

100 -7- day cruises

and so on and so forth

This can be cut in half if in a full suite or haven

And cut again if booking a Latitudes Insider Offer

Formerly with booking 9 months from sailing would grant -1- more

point to each night - that program perk has been discontinued.

The OP states over 50 cruises be that they average 7 night cruises

the base is then 350 points.

So at the very minimum a Platinum Plus Latitudes level.

XXXXX

"Screwed by Norwegian Again"

Puzzled if the OP is finding so much dissatisfaction with NCL and things

don't change - WHY keep coming back for the Rodney Dangerfield -

"I get No Respect" !

Leave NCL and go cruise another cruise line.

There is a system to reward "loyalty"

One person may take 50 three day cruises all in an inside stateroom.

Another person may take 25 seven day cruise all in a suite.

The person that books the suite will receive more rewards/points.

Ways To Earn Rewards Points

  • Earn 1 point for every cruise night.
  • Earn 1 additional point per night for booking in a Suite* or in The Haven.
  • Earn 1 additional point per night when booking a Latitudes Rewards Insider Offer.

*Full fare suites booked when reservation was originally made. Does not include mini-suites.

They would both have a long way to go in order to earn a complimentary seven day cruise. (700 points)

So, a person that takes 50 7 day cruises gets the same loyalty points a s a person that takes 50 3 day cruises? So, they still took 50 cruises and got the points...what are you trying to say?

The OP had 50+ cruises. Regardless how he got them, he should have been treated better.

It depends on how and what they book. 50 trans-Atlantics isn't the same as 50 three day trips to the Bahamas.

Not according to the website

Brutal people here

Anyway, if the OP has 50+ cruises on NCL, not only should they let him have his perks, they should comp him the 5 day cruise. Honestly, what are loyalty programs for if you can't comp a 50+ cruiser??

I sympathize with you OP, I would certainly expect more reward for my loyalty.

man, some people sympathize with anyone that has a negative about NCL> No he was not screwed and no, he never claimed he had 50 cruises on NCL> He simply said, he had 50 cruises. I have had similar number, but certainly not on NCL>

No, they don't get the same number of points even though both have taken 50 cruises.

The OP wasn't mistreated. Even if the OP had 1000 points, his sailing wasn't eligible for what the OP wanted.

Oh come on now. There are so many things wrong with your response.

1 - You are quoting the specifics of the loyalty program.

2 - People don't read. If they do, they read what they want to hear.

3 - The OP is long gone and will not be back until they want to complain about something else.

4 - Bottom line. The customer is always right. They should be able to make up their own rules.

LOL!

We are just off the 3-day cruise on the Sky. We did not read the fine print either. Was a little upset at first, but it was our fault for not checking into this before leaving. That said it was a wonderful cruise, food was good in the dining rooms. We did not miss our platinum status at all. :D:D:D
