138east Posted September 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Hi Dick! Your group would probably be most comfortable in the Solarium Bistro. Second choice would be the Cafe 270. I usually board early and do the Cafe 270, but the line gets long quickly because it is on the Embarkation deck 5. Solarium Bistro is forward on deck 14 and not the kind of place that the new cruisers seem to find on Day 1.

138east Posted September 27, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Hi CarolAny idea what the menu is at the Bistro. Honestly, I don't remember. Not a table service venue at breakfast or lunch. At lunch it would be a limited buffet with most likely a salad bar and soup and dessert choices. Not nearly as extensive as the WJ, but also not as crazy or crowded. RunnerGurl615 Posted September 28, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 28, 2017 I know you asked about lunch on embarkation but speaking of the Solarium Bistro, it does serve dinner. 5:30-9 p.m. Post #588 at this link shows menu. :) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=52715252&highlight=solarium+bistro#post52715252

Merion_Mom Posted September 28, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Hi CarolAny idea what the menu is at the Bistro. Different Carol, but............. At lunch and breakfast, Solarium Bistro on the Anthem is basically a mini-Windjammer, a satellite of the WJ.
Rare BirdTravels Posted September 28, 2017 #13 Share Posted September 28, 2017 So,,,, windjammer is a total zoo on embarkation day. If you don't board early and immediately go there, you should try an alternate venue. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
