Thank you for your review. We board the Equinox on Friday.

Did the Coco Loco Beach Bar have shade or umbrellas to rent?

We did not rent one, but I believe they were available. It was a very nice beach bar at the beginning of Eagle Beach. Eagle Beach is very beautiful and so much less crowded than Palm Beach.

Thanks for doing a review. What other things besides the food and market place layout did Celebrity do better than HAL?

I have been bored on sea days on our last few HAL cruises, not the case with Celebrity. The evenings were also much more fun, as well. It may have had to do with the somewhat younger crowd, it was definitely a livelier atmosphere. Maybe it had to do with our just needing a change. HAL has made a lot of cutbacks in it's entertainment staff, I feel it shows. Someone told me that a HAL cruise director told them that they want the focus to be on the ports. The ports are the reason we cruise, but we still need to get through the sea days. We don't require a lot of daily entertainment, but "nothing to do" gets boring fast.

We were also on the equinox Oct 6. might have missed this if anyone already said this, sorry. The Chico show was fabulous. He is an extreemely talented and humble young man. Don't know if it was a one time special treat, or if he will do this show on every cruise. He works along side the cruise director with all the activities. His show was at 2:30 in the afternoon. His vocal range was amazing.

Thanks for the review.

I think the problem wasn't Murano, but that you ordered lobster. [Lobster in the Caribbean isn't Lobster, but some other species entirely. If you want lobster, go to Maine!] Next time try the Chateaubriand or the Venison Loin.

Did you do the Corning Hot Glass Show? [it's only on 3 Celebrity ships, and was a surprise highlight of our cruise on Eclipse]

The Chateaubriand is superb in Murano! I do agree about the lobster...great information for their next cruise!!!! If we all only knew these things ahead of time....

I agree - we also enjoyed teh Chico show...the part where he had his dad on video was very touching as well.

We are sailing in Feb, but can I ask if anyone remembers what the prices were for the internet onboard???

Thanks! Loved reading the review!

Maybe someone else will be able to answer. We were unplugged for 11 days. Wonderful. We love being in the vacation "no news" bubble...... no politics, no news, just peace and quiet. Family always knows how to contact us if necessary, everything else can wait until we get home.

We had it included as one of the four perks we received, but I noticed that they were selling packages for unlimited usage for $299 and then an additional $49 for the second person in cabin.

Can't wait to try Celebrity after reading this. We cruised on HAL during spring break and even then it did get quiet around 11 but we loved the casino. It wasn't crowded at all.

If you decide to try Celebrity I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
