fpcruiser Posted October 31, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2017 Are the taxi drivers pretty knowledgeable about where each ship is docked? This will be the first time we have taken a taxi from the airport to the port. We will be on Freedom, will the driver know exactly where to take us or do I need to figure out what dock? Thanks! The taxi drivers are well versed in reading the ample signage and driving directly to the appropriate terminal.
JMG Posted October 31, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2017 Have you tried Uber? Costs less than a taxi and our driver took us directly to the ship. As noted, the is sufficient signage to get drivers to the ship.
Foodluvr Posted October 31, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2017 Uber and Lyft are also available and price was around $20.
Clarea Posted October 31, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2017 Uber and Lyft are also available and price was around $20. I'll bet it's less than that, because that's about the cost of the taxi.
Foodluvr Posted October 31, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 31, 2017 I'll bet it's less than that, because that's about the cost of the taxi. In March we paid $14 and tipped $5.

You must use an app. At my last hotel, I heard a guest ask the desk clerk to call her an Uber. “Ma’am, that’s not how that works.”
CruisinCons Posted November 1, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 1, 2017 I'll bet it's less than that, because that's about the cost of the taxi. We paid about half that.

Uber/Lyft works on most tablets as well. Hate to see folks throwing money down the toilet on taxicabs.

cb at sea Posted November 1, 2017 #13 Share Posted November 1, 2017 A taxi should cost about $12....tell them your ship, they know how to get there!

If the driver doesn't know which ship is docked at which terminal, the sign at the entrance will tell you when you get there. We were on the Freedom last year and we used terminal 29.
