deliver42 Posted November 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2017 We are looking at the Glory and the Magic for a 2019 cruise. The price is slightly higher on the Magic, but real close. Port Canaveral is closer, but Miami not too bad. We live in Fl, so travel isn't a problem. I'm just trying to see which is the better ship. Thank you for your responses. HawkIVette Posted November 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Have not been on the Magic, but have heard a lot of good things about it from others. I hve heard it is similar to the Breeze and the Breeze is my favorite ship so far (check my signature for list of carnival ships I have been on). But I like the Glory as well. Good sized ship and a great crew. Been on it several times and going in January again. I tend to like the Conquest Class ships. They are a good size ship, with lots of food options, great crews and easy to navigate
deliver42 Posted November 11, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted November 11, 2017 You convinced my wife. We've been on the Dream, and she wanted to try something different. Going Western, 1/26/19. The Glory it is. The fish and chips was the deciding factor. Go figure.

The Glory it is. The fish and chips was the deciding factor. Go figure. Whoa. Hold on there, partner. If you are talking about the old Fish & Chips on deck 10 above the aft buffet, it is no longer there. They turned it into a Ole Fashioned BBQ, which ain't bad. But they did add the Seafood Shack on Aft Deck 9 Starboard side. It has great fish and other seafood at an additional cost.
deliver42 Posted November 11, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Sounds ok to me. Love BBQ, and might try the Seafood Shack. Thanks for the update.
poz222 Posted November 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2017 Magic 100% love the layout, food options, entertainment etc... just got off the Glory 2 weeks ago and it seemed a bit “meh” not bad, just so-so. Of course things can change but as we f now my vote if for Magic... now I would have to check, but isn’t the breeze supposed to take over for the Magic in PC sometime in 2018? deliver42 Posted November 12, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted November 12, 2017 Yes on the move. The Magic will be in Miami. My wife wanted the Glory. I would've liked the Magic, but as the saying goes, "a happy wife is a happy life". LOL.
dmdiver Posted November 12, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 12, 2017 At least Glory's aft pool is adult. I wish all the ships had an adult pool.

mulan1123 Posted November 12, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 12, 2017 My first Carnival cruise was in the Glory. It was definitely smaller than what I'm used to since I have cruised on RCI's Freedom and Oasis. But loved it! Met some really nice people and got to know some of the entertainment staff because my brother and I went to a lot of the trivia. And we cruised two weeks before Christmas and the ship was decorated for the holidays. We are booked for Magic in 3 weeks :) Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Forums mobile app
