Rickster50 Posted November 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Hi, We are cruising Norway & The Baltics with HAL during May, 2018 and were wondering whether the price of shore excursions are quoted to us in Australian dollars? We are making bookings from Australia. Many thanks. Paul
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Hi Paul, I would recommend posting this on the Holland America Cruise Line board found at: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=171 Keith
John Bull Posted November 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Hi Paul, Excursions are usually priced in ship's currency, and HAL's currency for a European cruise will be USD. I can't be 100% sure that's what you've been quoted if these prices have been quoted specifically to you (eg e-mail to your Aussie e-mail address) or for advance on-line booking/payment from Aus. Who is quoting you? Cruise line or Aus travel agent? JB :)
Stratheden Posted November 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2017 The prices are in US$. If you buy them before the cruise you will pay for them straight away on your credit card. If you book them on your cruise, you will be charged on your onboard account that you will receive at the end of the cruise. Everything on the ship is charged to your account and is in US$.
