tucho Posted November 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Just booked Jewel of the Seas out of SJ. There is a 10;30 fight to get back home, is it feasible without to much stress? thanks for any help and opinions.

If you don't mind getting in the self-assist line no later than 6am, carrying off your own luggage, taking a taxi straight to the airport, then barring any unusual delays, you should be fine. 39august Posted November 30, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Having cruised from SJ a few times, I would not risk that flight.
davekathy Posted November 30, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2017 (edited) OP...I believe anything is feasible. But we wouldn't book a flight home that early. Don't want the stress about trying to make a early flight. Not a good way to end a great cruise. But as they say different strokes for different folks. Also be advised at the San Juan airport you will need to send all your checked and carryon luggage through the agriculture check point (usually goes fast, unless you have something that cause the agent to do a hands on inspection) before you check in with your airline. cruzn13 Posted November 30, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Have done this cruise with early flights home. Do self asist and be in a cab by 8 and you can make the flight. That early there is almost no body at the airport, you can scan your bags and be at the gate before 9.
colocop004 Posted November 30, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 30, 2017 We are in San Juan now and there are plenty of cabs, so that should not be an issue either. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Just want to add to be sure to take all bags (checked and carry-on) to the agriculture inspection before taking them to the airline counter. YES. More than once we've seen people who had waited in the check in line at the airline and were sent back to start over because they didn't go through the USDA check.:(
