thecruisers723 Posted December 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2017 We are trying to figure out when the formal nights will be on our 9 night NCL Star on Mar 2 -11, 2018. Are they usually on sea days? We have 2 sea days, followed by 5 port days, followed by 1 sea day. Any thoughts?
xriva Posted December 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2017 There are no formal nights on NCL. See any of the other threads for lengthy discussion. You can dress as you like. There should be a night where the photographers will be available with backdrops, so people may dress up then, but it’s up to you. Something fun! Posted December 1, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2017 The "Dress up or Not" night should be the second night... first full day. Dress up for photos and dinner then if you wish. Festive but not required. 👌
Rare BirdTravels Posted December 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2017 We are trying to figure out when the formal nights will be on our 9 night NCL Star on Mar 2 -11, 2018. Are they usually on sea days? We have 2 sea days, followed by 5 port days, followed by 1 sea day. Any thoughts? There are no formal nights on NCL. They embrace Freestyle Cruising. One extreme is that shorts are allowed in all dining rooms except for Versailles and Le Bistro for all meals. That being said, most people dress up a little for dinner (but leave the gowns and tux at home). But,,,, There will be those that come to dinner in sneakers, shorts and polo shirt every night. Photographers will be out with backdrops on nights 2-8 to take pictures and portraits.
Love my butler Posted December 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 5, 2017 Usually the first Tuesday of the cruise and the second Wednesday.
zqvol Posted December 5, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2017 Usually the first Tuesday of the cruise and the second Wednesday. ??? Answers like this make no sense. NCL has no formal nights, and pretending that they do only confuses the OP.
LrgPizza Posted December 5, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 5, 2017 Usually the first Tuesday of the cruise and the second Wednesday. False. There are NONE. You can dress exactly the same every single night, and you know this. You've just chosen to give bad information for some reason known only to you. Shame.
