reedprincess Posted December 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2017 (edited) Hi- Every HAL ship I've been on if it has 2 pools the 2nd aft pool is always designated for Adults 18 and up, does Princess offer the same? Thanks, Paul Yes, Princess has adult only pools, no charge. On Grand, that would be the Lotus Spa pool, right outside the Lotus Spa area, and the aft Terrace pool. Both adults only. E Enjoy. yags Posted December 7, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2017 On the Grand and Crown I believe it is the Terrace pool. All the way aft is for adults only and I like it because it has a great view of the water while cruising.
voljeep Posted December 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2017 one of our favorite places on the Crown - we try to book an interior room on Riviera deck, aft, on the Crown and use the Terrace pool and outrigger bar as our 'balcony' via the door that leads right out:cool:

Bill B Posted December 7, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 7, 2017 Yes, Princess has adult only pools, no charge. That's great... the on board revenue situation has come to the point where we now think to mention if there is a charge to use a pool on a cruise ship. ;)

UpcountryTravelers Posted December 13, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Hmmmm..... never seen an "adult only" pool on a Princess ship except the Sanctuary. Of course, we haven't been on all Princess ships...only 11.

JF - retired RRT Posted December 13, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 13, 2017 On the Grand and Crown I believe it is the Terrace pool. All the way aft is for adults only and I like it because it has a great view of the water while cruising. The Lotus Spa pool is way better. Usually almost no one is there (we've been all alone many times). The loungers are nicer - teak with thick pads. There is a pre/post shower and 2 hot tubs in addition to the pool. Check the deck plans...Terrace Pool and Lotus Spa pool on all ships AFAIK, except Pacific, and the Royal Class.
dverzic Posted December 13, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Just got off the Grand a couple weeks ago and the pools at the front and back of ship are both Adult Only. I found that the kids mostly used the large indoor pool, so we didnt have to compete with them by the large outdoor one. The lounges were pretty full, but we were always able to find a couple for my husband and me. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Hopefully nothing has changed but would love to hear if anyone has an update especially if things do change for Alaska. Thanks.

Knickearth Posted July 25, 2018 #16 Share Posted July 25, 2018 we are taking a long cruise on the Crown in the fall and haven't been assigned a cabin yet. But after reading your comments I am hoping I get one of those cabins near the Terrace Pool. Thanks for the info:):):):)
