Anyone else get the princess players club "ultimate vip cruise" offer?

Has anyone heard the date for the "Ultimate VIP" cruise in November? I'm doing a VIP cruise in August and the offer stated that if you do the VIP cruise, you'll get an invitation back for the "Ultimate" cruise. I would like to keep that time clear on my calendar.

Thanks!

Nothing yet although the host on my last cruise was fairly certain it would be on the Royal or Regal.

anyone had success on oceanplayersclub's site? i sent email last week and got no confirm that my email was sent nor a reply . sent another today but again, no confirmation email like they say you will get.

I'm not sure if what I had with the players club would be deemed as "success" - I got an answer that was basically no answer -- The response was "Unfortunately, those details have not been released. Please keep an eye out for all future offers under your Captain's Circle Number."

Seems to me that they should know when the Ultimate Cruise is scheduled -- they just don't want to tell anyone.

We got a sail and play offer - going on a ten day cruise on Royal for $199 pp inside. I grabbed it because when else are we going to sail on Royal for ten days for $199? To get on the naughty list we gambled $100 each and then they gave us $100 each near the end of the cruise because the television wasn't working right one of the previous nights. We decided to go play with it at the roulette table again. We ended up walking out a little ahead. So we 'donated' about $10 total to get the great offer. I have no idea how we got so lucky this time. We usually gamble a little bit. That time we spend way more onboard than we ever have on other things, though.

I have received similar offers in the past and will be going on one in March. It seems as though when I have an offer booked that I don't receive a new one. I would love to go on that Royal cruise! We took one in December and it was one of the best so far.

We've been on Regal twice recently and really love her. Royal had the itinerary we loved this time so we hopped over. I'm expecting them to be nearly identical. It is good to hear you received more offers. I hope we get another one some time. :)

The ultimate cruise, is only an invitation. If you get invited and don't qualify for a free cruise, you need to pay for it at a discounted rat. But you WILL receive a lot of perks on that cruise, and a welcome gift worth about $500 not that Princess embossed promo stuff they always seem to give away.

June 23, 2018 is a $50k blackjack tournament (Caribbean Princess), similar to the Slot Tournament on the Regal last October. Free cabins are offered if you qualify also. It sounds fun.

I hope you (and we) do too, but I don't really expect one until after we go on the one currently booked (hopefully, we will again then). We are on the Regal starting March 4...can't wait. :-)

If you booked the regular prices cruise within the dates the offer was made, they will update the prices and perks.

I am not really sure what you mean. We made our March cruise reservations when a good offer was made.

Aahh - The big blackjack tournament is on the 23rd sailing. Probably explains why there were no casino rates available when I tried to book using the offer I got on my last cruise!

Any updates on the ultimate cruise date in November? I just got an offer for a free cruise in November with a free entry to a $75,000 BJ tournament

I have not received any information on the Ultimate VIP cruise yet. When we were on our VIP cruise in May, the casino host told us to keep any eye out for an email in A few months. I hope you can take the free cruise they offered you. That is very exciting. What are the dates of the cruise they offered you and what ship?

I got an offer yesterday for a cabin & entry to $75,000 slot tournament for November on the Ruby. Won't do this one as we don't want to fly to California for it (and since we're waiting to see about the Ultimate cruise). We do our VIP cruise in August (the last one available for the Ultimate I think). I guess the Ultimate invitations will go out in September for a cruise "sometime" in November. Would be nice if they'd at least release the date, but I don't think that's gonna happen before they send out the invitations.

I agree with you, they won’t release the date until you see your invitation.

Great news for me! Not so good for my wife...lol.

Do you happen to know the minimums?

Your wife doesn’t know all the fun she’s missing. Yes, $5.00 minimum. 3 card poker was also $5.00 minimum.

We were on a VIP cruise on the Caribbean Princess (5/1/18). We took this cruise so that we could qualify for the Ultimate VIP cruise. But after our experience on the CB - 650+ VIP cruisers.......125 slot machines, and the bedlam that prevailed, not sure we will bother with the Ultimate VIP cruise unless they give it to us and it's on a larger ship with an adequately sized casino. It was a bedlam atmosphere and getting a machine to play was extremely difficult. This might be the same on the Ruby...the casino is small. Princess (really Carnival) oversold this cruise, IMHO. A lot of people were not happy, especially when there were a lot of "high rollers" that parked at machines for the entire cruise. In 15 cruises, this is the first time we experienced this. Just my observations....for what they are worth.

And it kind of ticks me off that they are not releasing any information about this November cruise until September. How many working people can plan for a vacation on such short notice?

I was offered a 10 day comp cruise out of San Francisco in November for a 75k slot tournament and a 7 day out of Ft. Lauderdale in December for a 200k slot tournament. I was turned off by both itineraries, but ended up booking for December. I used up most of my vacation for the year so I need to be picky. I have never been on a vip cruise, they sound interesting. Just started cruising with Princess last year and decided it wasn’t for me, but I keep getting comp cruises.

I receive casino cruise discounts. Great discounts for a 10 day Caribbean for $199. Not bad. However, does Princess ever disclose what you’ve spent onboard at their casino?

Interesting that there were that many cruisers invited to a VIP cruise. There were 300+ VIPs on a cruise we took on the Emerald Princess and the casino was a nightmare. At the beginning of the cruise it sometimes took an hour to get a free drink. They ended up pulling crew from other areas to ease the drink situation but it only helped a little - you can only have so many folks working the bar. We were told by the Executive Host that they had so many complaints that they learned their lesson and they would limit the attendees at future events but I guess that wasn't true. I agree with you that it will be a nightmare if all of those who went on qualifying cruises attend the ultimate event. although with the short notice many may not be able to make it.
