Anyone else get the princess players club "ultimate vip cruise" offer?

On the ones I have been involved in the only person that is automatically getting drinks is the person whose name was on the invite. I had a lanyard with card (not cruise card) and drinks were only while gambling. If your significant other is social enough with casino host they may be offered drinks(may is key word!) We and the couple we were cruising with, were invited to the welcome party but not other parties.

Mahalo, triple7tahoe. Guess my spouse will b paying 4 her drinks.😁

For those of you who have cruised the VIP Casino offer, does your spouse in the same cabin also get invites to the parties and drinks in the casino...assuming she is doing a little gambling? Is the casino drink sticker on your cruise card or something you wear on your clothing? Just curious. Going on the last eligible cruise next month. Thanks, h

I've gone on two VIP cruises in the last year and a half and both times by hubby and I received lanyards with badges to wear in the casino which enables you to get the free drinks. We were both also invited to participate in the slot tournament and other "events". We're doing our third VIP cruise in a couple of weeks and can't imagine them changing the rules.

our friend's mom spends DAYS and copious amounts of money in the casino on Princess ships, and not once over the last 3-4 years of doing so was she offered a casino rate.

Is your friend's mom getting other email or snail mail offers from Princess or the casino? Some folks (including us) for a while weren't receiving anything from Princess. I called Princess and also the casino number (888-772-6697) and learned what discounts I was eligible for. I also have reached out to the casino area via email ( casino@carnival.com ) to ask for casino play for a cruise booked without promotions and was granted a couple hundred in free play (I don't gamble much). If your friend's mom truly plays that much, she should contact the casino area via phone or email to find out what she can get.

We take long cruises 14 - 21 days each year, spend around 3 hours a day in the casino ($5 blackjack and video poker usually) and at the end of the cruise we usually get a voucher for around $400 in "casino cash" which must be used on a cruise in the next 6 months. However we used to be handed cash now it is either casino cash on your card for slots or vouchers/chips for table play. We usually use these on short cruises we take every year (4 day trips)

The email has arrived with the info on the Ultimate VIP cruise. It's an 8 day cruise on the Royal leaving November 9th. The offer included far less in free play than what I just earned on the qualifying cruise so I think we will pass.

Got my offer today as well & have it booked! Sorry I won't see you in November.

We did our first cruise with princess in April of this year. On the last day we got a letter from the Casino saying that if we booked a new cruise within 30 days of the letter date, my husband would get $800 in free casino play and I would get $400. We had no plans for a new cruise. I emailed Princess and asked if we could move the free casino play to a new cruise once we had picked a new time to go in 2019. We ended up booking an Alaska cruise, and they dropped the free money to $100 each.

Then two weeks ago we got a flyer with a list of different cruises where they were offering 35% inside cabins and 25% off balcony. We cancelled the Alaska cruise and booked a cruise out of LA (no flights involved) took an inside cabin, got $200 deposit paid by princess, getting one free speciality dinner, $75 free play in casino. Total cost with cabin, taxes and gratuities is $1,184 for 7 nights.

We will be interested to see what happens after the cruise in March.

Yes, it was my husband who earned the VIP casino cruise and we both received lanyards with the sail date and VIP Casino listed. If you wore the lanyard than you would receive free drinks at the bar. I think my husband got a few free drinks but I didn't wear my lanyard, even when I was playing in the casino. You should also receive free things delivered to your stateroom....champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

Update to my original post:

Sent off a email to Oceans Player Club and got a vague response from Brian which basically stated maybe you'll get and invitation and maybe you won't....but in any event no information will be released until after August 31st.

Then immediately following that email was a "how are we doing" survey! I made mention that they might need to work on their marketing skills as I was less than impressed with this offer which promises you something but gives you no information on what it is! 😜

I believe they call that "A Pig in a Poke"

I received an VIP offer from Princess for $300 off my cabin, $300 free play - VIP benefits, etc.  Thinking about booking the Eastern Caribbean for May 18.  Has anyone else received such an offer?  Are there any strings....have to play a certain amount in the Casino?

No other strings, although what you play will determine future offers if that matters to you.

Cannot remember which was first night, but on various nights bottle of champagne, chocolates, a very nice pen,  chocolate covered strawberries, various other hor d'oeuvres.  I feel like there might have been more, but neither DH or I remember what they were.

We will be going on a VIP cruise in Oct. on the Crown. What have the recent Welcome Gifts been? Thanks!

On the same Oct. cruise. This is our first VIP cruise but we were even getting the nightly gifts from the casino on our other trips. Strawberries, Champagne etc. .  I would go up to the bar for drinks and tip $1 . they got real glad to see me. It was a cruise out of London, some groups don't tip much if at all. So I guess we would be eligible for the spring 2020 cruise, whenever that might be.

Does anyone know what the VIP amenities and commemorative gift are for the VIP cruise on the Caribbean Princess May 18th?

You get a drink card,, entrance to slot tournament s , reception party. Usually chocolate strawberries in your room. The big reward is a another players cruise . Some people are getting a similar offer but with $150 play. You also get a reduced room rate, 15 percent  20 percent  etc. .  We took the deal.

Got a mailer yesterday from the Princess Players Club outlining a new offer. In states that if I book a cruise from a list of 14 upcoming cruises, (which comes with reduced rates and perks), I would then receive an "invitation" to a cruise in the Caribbean next November on a super special V.I.P cruise.........

The nice part is I'm already booked on one of the listed cruises, so after a phone call I got my price reduced and perks added.

But my question????? Does "invitation" for the November cruise mean free cruise? I called Princess but the rep couldn't answer.......just wondering if anyone knows what the deal is??????

We are not big gamblers, so I'm assuming others got this offer.......

It is not a free cruise.
