Geoffa30 Posted December 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2017 Hi Hoping someone can help. Just booked the 27 October 2019 Sky Princess cruise which leaves from Barcelona at 10pm. Does anyone know when muster is scheduled on cruises that sail late. Will it be a the usual time of 4pm-ish or will it be later? Thinking about whether it will be possible to enjoy Barcelona from the afternoon into the evening or will we need to be on the ship late afternoon for a 4pm muster. Thanks for any information. fishywood Posted December 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2017 Just because sailaway is late evening does not mean embarkation will be later than the usual late morning/early afternoon. But the muster drill will be late, almost certain to be closer to sailaway than the usual circa-3:00, Strong possibility to be held between the early and late dinner seatings. Or if there is only anytime dining for all due to the late sailaway time they will suspend dinner during the drill.
satxdiver Posted December 14, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2017 With late sail aways like the OP's 10:00 PM, the dining in the MDR that night will most likely be ATD only. I do agree that the safety briefing will be more towards the departure time or soon after pax have to be aboard.
skynight Posted December 14, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2017 Closer to sailing time. There will also probably be a supplemental muster for any passengers that missed the original muster because they were not on board. Ask at passenger services if you miss the general muster. lstone19 Posted December 14, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 14, 2017 On Regal’s TA in September, muster was at 5pm despite a 10pm sailaway. As I understood it, embarking passengers were expected to be on by 5 and pre-cruise docs said embarkation was only until 5. Geoffa30 Posted December 14, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted December 14, 2017 We have Princess transfers so are hoping to go from the airport, check onto the ship, drop bags in our cabin before going into Barcelona for the afternoon into the evening and then returning to muster at say 8pm. This would be preferable to having to return to the ship to muster at say 5pm and then going back into Barcelona which we might not feel like doing once back on the ship.
