LuvinDisCruiser Posted December 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 19, 2017 For those of you who have been on Vision out of Galveston, how is it for My time dining ? Do you think I need to make reservations for each evening ? We've done My time on other ships, and just stood in line whenever we were ready, and the wait was never that long to be seated. I don't how Vision would be for wait times. Also, I'm not sure on times for shows and entertainment yet, so I would have to wait to see the compass each day to determine what time to make dinner reservations ? There will be 6 of us for dinner each night. Thank you !
Merion_Mom Posted December 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2017 It's not about the ship; it's about your fellow passengers. It will always be more streamlined to have reservations, but if you want to wing it, then wing it. Let us know how it goes.
twinsaj Posted December 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 21, 2017 For my upcoming Vision cruise I booked the same time every night for My Time Dining. I figure it’s easier to have the reservation and change it if I need to rather than wait each night. I really also want a table for 2. Clarea Posted December 22, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 22, 2017 Do you have to have reservations for a table for 2? You don't have to have reservations at all, you can just show up when you want.
sull87 Posted December 22, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 22, 2017 We were on Vision over the summer with MTD and majority of the time only had to wait 5-10 min tops to be seated. We always went to dinner around 7:30 or so.
twinsaj Posted December 22, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 22, 2017 If the option was not in my cruise planner, I wouldn’t have even thought to make a reservation. But since it was there I booked it. I’m sure the wait will be very short, if any for a table. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
cb at sea Posted December 22, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 22, 2017 The shows are scheduled around the 2 traditional dining times. If you schedule YOUR dining close to those times, you'll be fine. Pick a show (each show is done twice nightly) and eat accordingly. Early dining goes to the after-dinner show. Late seating goes BEFORE dinner. Your choice.
