Rare vacationlover_mn Posted December 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2017 I am a cold weather gal (from MN), so I am used to the cold :). We are taking a mid-June cruise out of Vancouver, to Seward. Do you think I would be able to wear my LulaRoe on deck during sea days, or would it be too chilly? Note, I’ll also be packing some jeans :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
easyboy Posted December 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2017 I guess you can. My wife liked wearing her leggings on deck in our May Cruise. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 28, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2017 If you are used to the cold you probably can. Also you never know what the weather will be like. Could be chilly or it could be warm. Keith
TwinMamainMN Posted December 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2017 I am also from MN so I understand the conundrum. I think you can wear whatever you want, but jeans block the wind more than leggings IMO. It's going to depend on the whole weather picture. If you can be in the sun, and out of the wind, you should be okay.
lundnak Posted December 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2017 I'm from ND. I wore everything from leggings to jeans with long underwear underneath for our cruise at end of May beginning of June. I did also get a sunburn our first day in Alaska because it was so warm.
mdenis Posted December 30, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2017 I’m originally from New York, but have lived last 3 years in Florida, so my comfort in the cold has changed! I bought a few pairs of fleece-lined leggings for our July 8, 2018 cruise. Hoping not to freeze! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Rare Coral Posted December 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Think of Minnesota April-May temps but windy due to the ship moving. This should be a good judge. Though we were in Alaska at the first of June and the high was 40's. On a flip side just to show how odd Alaska temps can be - I was there 2x over the 4th of July. First time it was really cold (low 40's and 30's with rain/sleet/fog) the entire cruise. Ship ran out of jackets. A few years later, I had to go back to the ship to put shorts on as I was too hot. A tale of 2 vacations the same time in Alaska. -Another midwestern here
Dancing Shoes Posted December 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 30, 2017 The jeans now days are so form fitting that you are fighting to wear long underwear under these. I plan on looking for tights.
tatibus0913 Posted December 30, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 30, 2017 I wore leggings in Anchorage and around the cruise ship last August and was comfortable. I wore jeans on the glacier viewing days because the leggings were a bit thin to block the cold. Love Lularoe :D
kpd21880 Posted December 30, 2017 #11 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Hi there! Fellow Midwesterner and leggings loving gal here :) I wore both leggings and jeans on our June trip last year, depending on the weather. There will likely be days they’ll be perfect for, and others you’ll be glad to have the extra wind protection of jeans. Every day, we wore the same top layers: short sleeved t, long sleeved t, and a sweatshirt. We peeled off and added layers in our backpack all day. Happy travels! More of a shoulder pack from college days. Still going strong.
