SPA Question - To Buy or not to Buy (before the Cruise)

Hello Fellow Cruisers... Diamond here... Its been a long time that I have traveled with RCCL... Will be sailing AoS in the summer and cant wait...

Question is... should I book and pay for my spa treatments now, before the cruise? or Should I wait until i get on board (and get Diamond Perks, if any?

Not sure what the perks are now... We used to get a booklet of vouchers for things.. casino free play, drinks, a photo i think and maybe there was a spa discount in there... cant recall... Anyone can clarify? What do you suggest.... book now or later?

The Adventure will run specials often (so how special is that? ;) :) ), on both port days and sea days. Read your Cruise Compass religiously.

Your Diamond discount is probably less valuable than the deals offered on the cruise, and you can't use a discount on those.

Your various Diamond perks/discounts are now embedded in your SeaPass card; no more paper vouchers.

It really depends on what you want done. You can find sales on the cruise planner every so often. On the cruise planer you will typically find items that are 1 long treatment. On board the sales are often for multiple short treatments. I do not know if this is accurate. But i was talking to a crown and anchor rep recently and they told me that when i reach diamnod I will recieve 50% of spa treatments. So you may want to look into that.

We always do at least 1, sometimes 2, spa treatments when on our cruise and we have never booked in advance. We always find they run better specials when onboard, just be sure to check out the cruise compass everyday. Also, be sure to visit the spa on the first day, the usually offer a raffle for free treatments, since there isn't a large turnout luck is on your side, we won twice!

On Oasis in October they were offering pre-cruise "up to" 30% off on board price for massages. However, when I went to purchase I had to book dates and times, which were mostly early mornings for the full 30%. It wasn't worth it for dates/times we would normally go, so we just waited until on board.

Good deals on port days depending on how many open spots they have on the calendar. I'd wait. Unless there's something you're particularly excited about doing.

The voucher in the 'booklet' is for 20% discount off the cost of a treatment.

It has to be a full priced treatment, it cannot be used on anything already discounted or on offer.

I look at it as I pay for the treatment and the voucher covers the auto added 20% 'tip'

I wish we got 50% off!

One you get to D+ you get the voucher and also get below but they cannot be used together!

Spa Treatment - Book a Signature Spa Service while the ship is in port and receive a complimentary add on treatment from the following list.....Frangipani Scalp Massage, Relaxing Hand Massage or Sole Delight Foot Massage.
