I never have a problem with their hairdryers and I have long frizzy hair.

DW used to have long & curly hair, never complained about the 220 volts model on the BA. Less to pack with our carry-on.

If you use your own, you can blow a fuse - we did that on the Getaway and they were not happy and told us to not use our own hairdryer again. We found their hairdryer to work very well and I'm very picky!!!

Hair dryer is not small at all. It's regular size and powerful. Mking's photos are accurate. You don't need to bring your own. I have thick curly hair and it dried fine just like my blow dryer at home. It was heavier though.
