crazycruiser94 Posted January 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Hello! I just got an email that my Royal Caribbean cruise check-in time for a March sailing was moved to 4-6 p.m. due to "port congestion in Miami." We are flying in early that morning and would like to check in as soon as possible. I know that Carnival makes you wait until your check-in time to get on board, but I was wondering if Royal Caribbean makes you wait as well? Does anyone have any experience with arriving before your check-in time and getting on the ship early? Thank you!
CruiserBruce Posted January 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2018 The better place to ask would be the RCI board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
cb at sea Posted January 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2018 RCI doesn't enforce the check-in times. I wouldn't advise arriving before 11am...as that just means waiting....any suites/handicapped/VIP folks waiting go 1st....then, it's "as you arrive"... Usually when RC gives a specific reason for a delay, it will be enforced.
CarolinaGirl2010 Posted January 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2018 We always go before our check in time and don't have a problem with it.
Clarea Posted January 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2018 We always go before our check in time and don't have a problem with it. Normally, I would agree, but it can be different when there's a specific reason given.
