Confusion on formal night

Can someone clarify as I can’t get on royal Caribbean website

 

We are on a 14 night cruise

 

How many nights are formal as got different answers from travel agent

It can vary, but most likely it will be three.

I was on a 12 night RC cruise and we had 2 formal nights. You may want to call RC directly and ask.

I tried to copy and paste from the web site but it didn't transfer properly. The answer to your question, according to their web site is, there will be 3 formal nights on a 14 night cruise. They did mention however that it is subject to change.

No tie required for formal night. Usually my DH wears a sports coat and tie on formal nights, occasionally he’ll wear a nice polo. There have been a few times when he forgoes the sports coat for Formal night, and he doesn’t feel out of place. When we go to Alaska, he’s not going to pack the sports coat...

While I tend to and enjoy wearing a tie and jacket on formal nights, if you don't, it won't look out of place. I've seen everything from tuxedos to shorts and tshirts on formal night. The "suggested" dress anymore is just that.

There is no dress code for RC. They have suggestions, which are not enforced, so you will see the full range of attire. Basically you can wear whatever you like.

Royal Caribbean does 3 formal nights on 13 to 21 night cruises.

We had formal night on Independence last night. The vast majority of people in the My Time Dining dining room (Romeo and Juliet) were not dressed up; some men were even wearing shorts, which are not supposed to be allowed on any night. I’ll know not to bother bringing a suit the next time I sail RCI.
