March 31 Seaside

I'm seeing posts about people canceling their vacations. We are booked to sail on March 31 on Seaside and have a Aurea balcony room (3 people). Would love to get a YC room. Sooooooooo if anyone is canceling their YC room, please let me know so I can grab it! (I check the website numerous times a day to see if anything has opened up...no luck so far and MSC customer service told me that they do not have a waitlist.)

THANK YOU!!:*

Just wanted to encourage you to keep checking. I booked YC on a sold out sailing - Feb. 17th just two weeks ago. I checked several times a day since i am in front of a PC anyway and one popped up.

Good luck!

I agree with this statement. I had another cruise on another line booked and kept checking closer and closer to the final payment date to see if YC opened up. As SOON as I saw it, I grabbed it and then canceled my other cruise. I too, am in front of the computer all day, so was boarding on obsessive and found it (okay, maybe I was obsessive LOL).

When is/was final payment.

Good luck and report back if you find it!

Booked through a travel agent, and final payment was due January 1. So, I have paid in full. I've already found a YC cabin available, and I started to 'hold it' by starting the online booking process but not actually booking it. I quickly called my agent and she was on the phone with another customer. So, I lost the cabin. Wish there was a work around, but I was told that the travel agent is the only one who can make changes.

Save your bread man. You'll be happier in Aurea. At least you will get a better deal than YC. Use your extra bread for specialty restaurants every day of the week, you will spend less, and you will be more satisfied than "Le Muse". You already are sailing the best deal in the ship.

Cheers.

I've been pricing the March 31 departure and an inside YC has been popping up. It was there yesterday. You may want to give MSC a call.

Have you thought about down grading? Bella balconies on March 31st are now going for 579 pp with ALL taxes and 150 obc. Depending on what you paid, you can probably buy a lot of spa and drinks for the price difference.

Having sailed both fantastica and yc, my experience is that yc is nicer- but it’s not “all that”. Our room steward in fantastica was significantly better than our butler in YC and poolside service was infinitely better outside of YC one pool. I caution potential cruisers into buying into all the YC hype and then being disappointed. YC is an excellent value, but I would still expect inconsistencies.

Ohh so sad! My TA told me to grab it and hold it if I saw it and then he was able to get it somehow. I wish you could have held it but maybe it all has to do with final payment. Maybe next time start the mock booking or something to hold it for yourself. Is there anyone in your TA office that you can talk to if your TA is on the phone again.

So close! Keep checking!
