Afternoon Transport -- MCO to Port Canaveral Hotel

Hello,

 

I'm having a hard time finding anything reasonable... It's 2 people, needing a ride around 3pm from MCO to a Port Canaveral hotel. Everything I'm finding is about $80-90... Is there anything less? Would uber/lyft be an option?

Try Cocoa Beach Shuttle....they make late afternoon and evening runs from the airport

Also consider a one-way rental car. We can do that for around $50 plus gas. This gives you flexibility for dinner, shopping, wine, etc. There are about a half-dozen rental agencies in the port area with free shuttles to the cruise terminals.

Another vote for a one way car rental. We prefer to stay in Orlando instead of PC - 1000's of hotels in every price range -- and then drive to the port the morning of our cruise.

Cocoa Beach Shuttle is $58 for 2 people at that time of day.

I would recommend Uber or Lyft in your case. The problem is that most shuttles go from MCO to Orlando hotels or to the Canaveral cruise port but not Canaveral hotels.

 

The other option is a car rental. There's a decent amount of overhead -- dropping off and picking up -- but it provides the greatest amount of flexibility.

Just FYI.....Cocoa Beach Shuttle definitely does drop off to the hotels in the evening

 

We have seen them dropping off people at the Radisson well into the evening every time we have stayed there.

I have a reservation with Cocoa Beach shuttle at 4:30 pm on a Sat in March from Orlando airport to Hampton Inn, Cocoa Beach. They DEFINITELY shuttle to Cocoa Beach hotels. The price is $58 for 2.

That's a fair price for an afternoon run when they are unlikely to be full -- you don't save that much when they are busy the morning of a cruise.

We've done one way car rentals twice in Orlando and its a lot cheaper than shuttles.
