spammie Posted February 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2018 Once your cabin is assigned you can call and have your cabin changed as long as it is within the same category - A1 or A2. Wanda

Rare ghstudio Posted February 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2018 If you want to cruise in aqua, then take the guarantee. Even if you pick a cabin, you have no way to know if the person on the balcony next door has a portable bluetooth speaker that they play outside...or they leave the door open and turn up the tv volume full....or they get up at 5am and turn on the TV full blast....or the folks in the cabin above clump around in heavy shoes....or kids run in the halls screaming outside your door (note...all of these have happened to us over the years). It's possible that you'll get a cabin under something noisy...but it's more likely you'll get a standard, run of the mill cabin in the category when someone cancels at the last minute. As others have said, if you are in the US (and perhaps elsewhere), once you get a cabin assignment, you can check to see if any other cabins open up in the same category A1 or A2 and request to change to that now open cabin. dutchclogs Posted February 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2018 That's a long time ahead to be offering guarantees. Looks like there must be a block AQ booking(s)? Good chance that there will be cancellations nearer the date, so if you are happy with the price, I would not be too worried about an assignment,
Silkroad Posted February 19, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2018 Depending on where you’re sailing, if you’re susceptible to motion sickness, you may want to consider what you’d do if you were assigned a forward cabin. In rough seas, you’ll feel the most motion in the forward cabins. Otherwise, I’d say the guarantee cabins can be a great value.
I_r_a Posted February 19, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 19, 2018 Hey TS, >is getting this cabin on silhouette cruise a big risk? Have you looked at the deck plans? There aren't that many Aqua Class cabins. Ira
