Rare tennislvr8 Posted February 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2018 Would you switch from a Jr suite w a huge balcony and vestibule on deck 13 for a mid ship grand suite on deck 6? Sent from my SM-G900V using Forums mobile app
Clarea Posted February 28, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2018 What is the total cost to switch and how many days is the cruise?
breeze123 Posted February 28, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2018 For the perks, yes. For just the room, no. I was not a fan of the Gs on Anthem. It felt super tight and we did not like the layout at all.
Rare brillohead Posted February 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2018 And how important are Suite Privileges to you? There is no one right answer - different people have different priorities.
Rare tennislvr8 Posted February 28, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted February 28, 2018 It's 7 nights about $1500. DH isn't top fond of the vestibule. Sent from my SM-G900V using Forums mobile app
Clarea Posted February 28, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2018 It's 7 nights about $1500. DH isn't top fond of the vestibule. That would be too much money for me to spend for the perks of a GS. The big perks you would get would be access to the Suite Lounge, all meals at Coastal Kitchen, and a free one-device internet package for every guest in the suite. You would have to determine what those perks are worth to you.
nashirak Posted February 28, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 28, 2018 I had a similar question last week. For me the suite perks were worth the upgrade (but my upgrade charge was less than yours) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Noreen411 Posted February 28, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 28, 2018 Hi We have cruised on Anthem several times If you look in my signature you will see the reviews with pictures January 2017 - We were in a Junior Suite #8232. It’s one with the large balcony in the vestibule. I also thought the vestibule would be weird, but it didn’t make a difference. The outside door to the vestibule was open the whole trip and you had your own door to your cabin so it’s not a big deal. The layout of the room is very nice and large. The balcony is a great size. I felt storage space a bit lacking but we also over pack. We enjoyed dinner many nights at Coastal Kitchen. January 2018 - We were in Superior Grand Suite #8634. This review is still in progress but I’ve gotten past the first few days so you can see pictures of the cabin as well as a picture of the email the concierge sent a week before sailing outlining the perks. The cabin is nice, but it’s a little choppy with the wall separating the bedroom from the living room. The perks are very nice so you have to decide if it’s worth it for you. I know some of the perks were already mentioned, but we enjoyed Coastal Kitchen for breakfast and dinner. We didn’t really eat lunch. The suite sun deck was great. We liked the reserved seating for shows. Room service is included and we made use of that after our nights in the casino. We each received free internet. You have access to the Concierge Lounge which not only can you enjoy cocktails there but the concierge can help you if you have any issues rather than having to wait on line at guest services. You get invited to different events for suites as well. We didn’t take attend all these but there were some parties and tours. Either way I’m sure you will have a great trip - we really enjoy Anthem and have been on it several times as you can see in my signature. I pointed out those two dates above as those were the ones in a Junior Suite and a Grand Suite. The other Anthem trips were in different cabin types. Happy to answer any questions you may have Noreen

Happy to answer any questions you may have Noreen Thanks Noreen, this will be our second time on the Anthem, first time was a balcony. We had a Jr suite on the Harmony in Dec and loved it we booked the Anthem then for Thanksgiving week in a spa Jr suite. This was a last min cruise for us, booked end of January for sailing Mar. 24th, we did a suite guarantee. From pictures online, I'm not sure I will like a grand suite for the reasons you said, it looks choppy. We won't use most of the perks.... He already had internet, I don't want it. We aren't doing any shows, we saw them a year ago. Coastal kitchen would be nice be we can do dinner there and with all the other options that enough. He was more concerned w the vestibule but not sounds like a no issue. Thanks Sent from my SM-G900V using Forums mobile app
