2D on Silhouette

Has anyone booked a 2D guarantee on Silhouette or her sister ships? Looking at a last minute cruise for the end of March but I’ve never booked a guarantee before. I’m looking at either this or an assigned cabin on the Equinox. I would prefer silhouette due to its itinerary but would love some insight on 2D guarantee. When I look at availabilities, there are no balconies available other than guarantee. Thanks!

We booked Veranda GTY, Celebrity assigned us a 2C. Partial Obstructed, the cabins above the life boats, you can't see down to the water, the view to the Horizon is OK.

What would your assigned cabin on Equinox be? Unless it's a significant upgrade over possibly getting a 2D on the Silhouette I would go with the itinerary that you prefer.

 

While you may be upgraded on the Silhouette, you may not so please go in with your eyes wide open that perhaps you will wind up with a 2D. As others have said, the biggest difference with a 2D and other categories is a more obstructed view.

Here's our 2C cabin aft on deck 6 (2 weeks ago). You can see the middle hump. We had a guarantee verandha and were very happy with it. It was just above the Grand Cuvée MDR but never heard anything or felt any vibration. Cabin 6263.
