Computer Nerd Posted March 7, 2018 #26 Share Posted March 7, 2018 No. I'm too poor for that :loudcry:! You want to buy me some? Just to note, if you have an IRA, you can move funds from one account into Carnival stock if you want. That's what I did.

I’ll have to look into that. Although I have a 401k so I’m not sure that works the same. Any idea?
illinoisfive Posted March 7, 2018 #28 Share Posted March 7, 2018 If it is a "self directed Ira" you most certainly can buy Carnival stock but not sure how you could do it if you have it through an employer

We do all our own trading with my husbands 401K so it can be done but not sure all 401Ks allow it.

The only options I see on mine are group funds. Not sure if I can select individual stocks.
Havingfun2010 Posted March 7, 2018 #31 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Just curious as to when Carnival charges the tips to your account? Bill Sent from my SM-G935V using Forums mobile app Just curious, why would it matter what day? If your not sure, just look at the size of the line at Guest Services, and the day it's biggest is the day, it hit.
summersigh Posted March 7, 2018 #32 Share Posted March 7, 2018 The tips are put onto your account sometime during the cruise but you don't actually get "charged" until disembarkation day. Well said (y)

S.S.Oceanlover Posted March 7, 2018 Author #34 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Are you sailing on Carnival any time soon Bill? No Jim, just a question I had from reading another post. I do have "some" friends and most haven't cruised yet and when they decide they want to cruise I like to have the correct info. It's amazing the questions they ask being new but I imagine I was like that back in 1991 when we started cruising. We have the Oasis next month, and a 10 day Dawn cruise on NCL in December to the Southern Caribbean and then may take some time off from cruising and try some all inclusives or land vacations. Of course if a deal too good to pass up, or an itinerary that is somewhere we haven't been yet that may change our decisions. Bill

I apply them to my account as I need them instead of all on embarkation day.

We are doing a 3 day on the Bliss for TA's in May when she comes over. It will be interesting to get a view of their newest product. Sorry, I have no idea with a 401k or if your 401k even offers Carnival stock. But, in an IRA, as long as you don't mix between Roth and standard IRA portfolios, you can buy or sell (move) you money into any stock or such as you want.
