Help with beaches near ports

Hey everyone! So my friends and I are going on the Carnival Fascination in August and we are trying to save money on excursions. We would rather just hang on the beaches.

 

The different ports we are going to are

1. St. Thomas

2. Barbados

3. St. Lucia

4. St. Kitts

5. St. Marteen

 

Know I know that some ports have beaches right when you dock. Do any of these ports have beaches? Please help!

None right where you dock, but several close by in all these ports. Head over to the Caribbean Ports of Call board here and look up each port.

St Martin docks in Phillipsburg, the Great Bay beach is right at the dock.

The only ports I can speak for is St. Maarten and St. Thomas.

 

St. Maarten has a beach within range of where you dock on ship, it's Great Bay Beach, you can take a water taxi to the beach location, which you can see from where the ship docks. It's $7/person I think, super cheap transportation.

 

St. Thomas has numerous beautiful beaches but the only one I have been to is Meagans Bay Beach, super gorgeous.

For the nicer beaches a taxi is necessary. Go to port of call for specific info

if you know your way around both St.Thomas and St.Martin have $1 safari buses that go all over the island.

We're headed on the Fascination, too.

 

In St Lucia, look at Reduit Beach. It's 6 miles from the ship, about 18 minutes in a cab. Lots to see and do there.

 

In St. Kitts, look for Shipweck Beach, it's even closer to the ship.

Agree .... For nicer beaches you'll need to take a taxi! ;)

I agree with those that say the best beaches are a taxi ride away. The beach at the port in St. Maarten isn’t the best.

 

You can walk to the beach via the boardwalk in Barbados, but much easier to grab a cab and head to a beach.
