NoWhiners Posted June 26, 2018 Author #201 Share Posted June 26, 2018 The tigers may be tough to beat at home, may well be the grand final warm-up.. Yes, but we'll have 2 weeks to prepare, that will make the difference. Would be great to see the Swans in the grand final :D Go Swans ML

Rare MicCanberra Posted June 28, 2018 #204 Share Posted June 28, 2018 It is now 44 (7.2) to 31 (5.1), swans need to have a big 3rd quarter.
possum52 Posted June 28, 2018 #205 Share Posted June 28, 2018 Ten points the difference at 3/4 time in Tigers' favour. Buddy may be in trouble for hit on Rance. Leigh
Rare MicCanberra Posted June 28, 2018 #206 Share Posted June 28, 2018 Tigers 71 (11.5) to swan 61 (10.1) at 3 quarter time. Come on swannies, you can do it.
losfp Posted June 28, 2018 #207 Share Posted June 28, 2018 Tigers just too good in the end, running out 26 point winners. I think that score flattered us, we hung in there and kicked accurately for goal but that last quarter burst by Richmond.... wow. They are definitely the team to beat. Rare MicCanberra Posted June 28, 2018 #208 Share Posted June 28, 2018 Tigers 93 (14.9) to Swans 67 (11.1) at full time. Not good enough to snatch the points after giving the Tigers such a good start.
Rare MicCanberra Posted June 30, 2018 #209 Share Posted June 30, 2018 The Eagles (2nd place) lost to the Crows, Yay. This keeps them level with both the Swans (3rd) and Port Adelaide (4th) on 40 points, 4 points behind Richmond (1st).
Rare MicCanberra Posted June 30, 2018 #210 Share Posted June 30, 2018 Collingwood had a big win and jumps up to 2nd spot also on 40 points, pushing everyone down a place. Swans in 4th now.

At least Australia made it into the group stage, unlike some countries I could name (ahem)... Yes, a couple of interesting games. Can't believe Spain lost to Russia and did you see Belgium come back to beat Japan? What a game. 2 more games tomorrow, then the Quarterfinals start Friday. No sleep lost ;) And it has been bloody hot so we sit inside where it's cool and hide from the worst of the heat (100 F, 37 C?). Have fun on the cruise, hope you get to see at least some of the quarters.

losfp Posted July 5, 2018 #224 Share Posted July 5, 2018 To be honest, Geelong should have won by a lot more - their inaccurate kicking kept us in it. Disappointing night, compounded by more injuries to key players.
