ustasmom Posted March 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I was told by RCCL that the Anthem could not fit five, but then why wouldn't that be true for sister ships? While I know that it isn't the most popular choice, the prices for guests 3-5 are phenomenal.
Ourusualbeach Posted March 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2018 You can on Oasis and Allure but you can’t on Harmony and Symphony. It’s due to their only being sofa beds on new ships nad not Pullman’s.
fsjosh Posted March 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) Wait. Can you put 5 people in the cabins with two Pullman beds? Looking at a cruise on Freedom and some friends with three young kids were looking at options. Disregarding space and only having one bathroom, is that even something Royal allows? No, those rooms do not exist on Freedom class. The regular rooms that hold 5 have a sofabed with one Pullman. They are identified on the deckplans with a solid black diamond. SRF Posted March 30, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Saving money is one thing, but 5 people in a single, smaller cabin? With one bathroom? Is this a vacation? :D
SeaDays Posted March 30, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 30, 2018 There are many cruise staterooms that “could” hold X number of people, but are not available to book. Keep in mind that a cruise line has to consider dining room limits, lifeboat requirements, child care capabilities, and other factors that affect individual room capacity. Availabilty will differ depending on individual sailings. Additionally, some lines will restrict stateroom capacity in order to balance the adult vs. kids passenger makeup since cruisers are looking at their vacation experience from many different angles. What cruise line differentiates between adult vs children bookings to insure a vacation experience
