Rare stevenr597 Posted April 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Just an idea. I have read that many individuals are upset in regards to the price of bottled water on Princess. I would suggest buying the refillable water bottles which have a built in filter. One can then have the equivalent of bottled water with paying the prices that this product costs. Just a thought. CruiserBruce Posted April 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2018 This is a very common recommendation for water consumption on a cruise ship. There really isn't a solid reason to buy multiple bottles...reuse one or two. The water on board is just fine, free, doesn't come with a plastic waste problem and tastes great. DW is a bottled water nut, but we have never brought water on board a ship and only used bottled water if provided, like on an excursion, or similar. Of course, people are buying Raw Water for approximately $22/gallon, so what can you say?
moki'smommy Posted April 25, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2018 As far as I know, there is no source of water on the Princess BOATS other than perhaps some stored on board for emergency use. The ships, on the other hand, have plenty of clean water available and people refill containers often.
Colo Cruiser Posted April 25, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Yes Boats in which Stewart sails. No need for a filter for shipboard tap water.
Goldenpaw Posted April 25, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Just got this response to a FB post: “we apologize for the pricing error. We will be refunding the price difference to guests who purchased the water bottle package over the past day, and the price will be updated in the Cruise Personalizer shortly. We're sorry for any confusion this may have caused.” Fingers crossed! Sent from my iPad using Forums

myfuzzy Posted April 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Sorry OP, but before the "sailors" out there...... Boat vs Ship • Boats and ships are both water crafts. • Boats are smaller compared to ships. • A ship weighs at least 500 tons, boat weighs lower. • Ships are normally for deep water navigation, boats can travel in shallow waters as well. • Ships can carry passengers and cargo. Boats have a very limited capacity. • Ships must be operated with an approved license from an authority; some boats do, too, but not all like regular small fishing boats. • Some boats are human-powered, but there is no such thing as a human-powered ship nowadays. • Ships are designed to carry boats for safeness preparation. MsSoCalCruiser Posted April 26, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 26, 2018 It was a glitch. Water is still $6.90 per 12 pack. I just called Princess less than an hour ago and I purchased 6 12 packs for three different cruises. Call Princess and they will help you.
